Sigep 2024 -The Dolce World Expo returns to the Rimini exhibition center from January 20 to 24. The 45th international ice cream, pastry, artisan bakery and coffee show, organized by Italian Exhibition Group, features a number of exhibitors from abroad at pre-pandemic levels.
Among the more than 1,200 exhibiting brands that will be present, in addition to the best made-in-Italy offerings, the foreign share in fact is close to 18 percent overall with as many as 35 countries present, numbers not recorded since the 2020 edition.
Among the most represented, after Italy, Germany, Spain, France Belgium and Turkey. There will be no shortage of collectives from Ecuador, Brazil and Ukraine, testifying to the completeness of the event’s offerings in terms of new products, technologies, raw materials, furnishings and services.

Sigep 2024: planning meetings

The event will draw more than 500 top buyers to Rimini from 81 countries, with a particular focus from the United States, Spain, Canada, Turkey, Brazil, India, China and the United Arab Emirates.

Sigep 2024: an increasingly international event

Space will also be given to data on out-of-home consumption, thanks to CREST analysis by Circana, a company that analyzes and interprets consumer behavior.
In addition, the Vision Plaza, in collaboration with media partners and Italian and foreign industry associations, will host talks on the areas of trends and innovations; market focus on the individual supply chains of the fair (ice cream, pastry, chocolate, coffee and bakery); digital marketing; and sustainability.

The internationality of Sigep 2024 www.sigep.it is also confirmed by a schedule of competitions, of which 3 will see the participation of 25 countries from all over the world. It starts with the Gelato World Cup, a competition that includes trials in gelato, pastry, chocolate, catering and ice sculpture and the involvement of 11 teams from Argentina, Brazil, China, South Korea, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Singapore, Taiwan and Hungary.
In the Gelato Lab, on the other hand, space is given to the European Challenge, the European leg of the Gelato Festival World Masters 2025 circuit, involving some 20 gelato makers from the old continent.
In the Pastry Arena, anticipation for the Juniores Pastry World Cup, a team contest targeting young talent under 23. The 2024 theme ‘Myths and Legends’: telling a myth or legend of one’s home country to enhance its culture and history through the pastry chefs’ creations. Twelve nations are competing.
