Sigep 2023 – The Dolce World Expo is back at the Rimini exhibition center from 21 to 24 January with the excellence of sweet foodservice made in Italy and beyond.
There will be over a thousand exhibiting brands from 34 countries. Among the most represented are Spain, Turkey, Germany, Belgium and France.
The 44th edition of the international exhibition of artisanal gelato, pastry, bakery and coffee will take place in conjunction with AB Tech Expo, the seventh international exhibition of technologies and products for bakery, pastry and confectionery.
Sigep 2023 with a unique offer of its kind, the most complete in Europe, represented by new products, technologies, equipment, furnishings, raw materials, the event organized by IEG will attract 450 top buyers from 78 European and non-European countries .
Foreign incoming is handled in collaboration with the ICE Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Also supporting the international network of Italian Exhibition Group’s regional advisors present in over 60 countries.

The trends and the future of the sector

With Sigep 2023 for five days, Rimini will therefore be transformed into the world capital of sweets, welcoming all the communities in the sector. An edition that is already sold out, occupying all 28 pavilions for over 130,000 square meters of exhibition space in the fairgrounds.
The protagonists of the sweet out of home will take turns at Vision Plaza, the stage for macro-trends and innovations, to trace the drivers of development and future growth of the sector on the global scene.
Italy is in 1st place in Europe for quality catering and 6th in the world ranking with a value of 31 billion euros, while Europe is stable and North America is confirmed as the area with the highest growth rate for the current year (+18% cagr 20-21) (Source: Foodservice Market Monitor by Deloitte).

Sigep 2023: coffee and bread

The coffee artists will instead meet at the Coffee Arena to challenge each other in the finals of the Italian Barista Championships. Seven different competitions that will allow access to the international circuit of World Coffee Events. The competitions are organized in collaboration with SCA Italy, the Italian Chapter of the Specialty Coffee Association which promotes a culture of quality coffee, involving all the players in the supply chain.
The Bread in The City international bakery championship also returns to the Bakery Arena at the 44th edition of the event, in collaboration with Richemont Club Italy, an international organization of bakery excellence that promotes production processes and practices.
During Sigep 2023, in addition to hosting the baking challenges, the Bakery Arena will become the center of activities designed for the leavened product chain and carried out in collaboration with national and international sector associations. Ad hoc research and studies will also be presented to outline the state and prospects for development of the sector and new food trends.
