From 30 November to 2 December, Mig Experience 2025, the historic event dedicated to artisan gelato, returns to Longarone with a completely new format. An event that combines tradition and innovation, offering itself as a privileged meeting place for companies, professionals, trade associations and institutions.
The new exhibition concept includes a packed calendar of events. There will be numerous workshops, guided tastings, immersive experiences and opportunities for discussion to promote the artisan gelato sector and support its future development. All this will be enriched by the presence of companies from the sector.
Promoting the artisan gelato sector
With Mig Experience 2025, Longarone confirms its central role in the artisan gelato sector: not just a showcase, but a place for discussion, collective growth and the promotion of new ideas that look to the future of the sector. Among the central themes of this edition is the focus on ice cream and well-being, in collaboration with researchers from CNR-Irib and ice cream makers from GAT – Gelatieri Artigiani del Triveneto, at the centre of an area dedicated to nutraceutical ice cream. In line with current trends, vegan and plant-based ice cream will also be featured at Veganok Expo, a programme of meetings, show cooking and tastings organised by the international certification organisation Veganok.
The agenda of meetings at Mig Experience 2025 is as packed as ever, with events dedicated to training and professional development involving the Association of Professional Ice Cream Trainers and some of its internationally recognised representatives. Meanwhile, in the Confartigianato Alimentazione area, students from hotel schools will be able to learn the basic production techniques.
Finally, there will be space for the local area and its excellence with the Veneto Region area, which will showcase PDO and PGI products transformed into unique ice cream flavours.
The programme also includes conferences and trade association meetings, such as that of Uniteis (Italian Gelato Makers in Germany). As in every edition of Mig Experience, there will be no shortage of traditional competitions: from the Coppa d’Oro to the international challenges planned for the European project “GelatOn the Road”.
The flavour created for the 2026 Winter Olympics has been unveiled
Among the events scheduled for Mig Experience 2025 will be the final stage of the “Un Gelato per Cortina” ice cream competition dedicated to one of the locations that will host the next Winter Olympics, starting in February.
Organised by Longarone Fiere Dolomiti in collaboration with the GAT Association – Gelatieri Artigiani Triveneto (Triveneto Artisan Gelato Makers) and the GA – National Committee for the Defence and Promotion of Artisan and Homemade Gelato, the competition also enjoys the patronage and support of the Cortina Foundation.
Competing for the award are the ice cream makers who qualified in the two selection phases that took place during the 2022 and 2023 fairs: Silvia Bianco, Leonardo Biasio, Mauro Crivellaro, Stefano Dassiè, Thomas Infanti, Vanessa Piantari, Marco Reato, Giovanni Talò and Guido Zandonà.
At the heart of the Mig Experience 2025 – www.mostradelgelato.com – contest is the preparation of an ice cream flavour of their choice that represents the values expressed by sport, with particular reference to winter sports. For this reason, the recipe with the ingredients used must be attached to the presentation of the flavour.
