Organized by Italian Exhibition Group, the 47th Sigep World, an international exhibition dedicated to ice cream, pastries, chocolate, bakery, pizza, and coffee, returns to the Rimini Exhibition Center from Friday, January 16, to Tuesday, January 20. It is not just a ‘simple’ showcase of products and technologies, but a place where manufacturing excellence, innovation, and the best from international markets will be on display.
Around 1,300 brands will be present in Rimini with the best of Made in Italy, from traditional supply chains to the most advanced technologies. Alongside Italian companies, there will also be an international component, up 28% and representing 45 countries ready to tap into the global dessert and out-of-home market.
In this scenario, it is worth mentioning the new entries to the 47th Sigep World from Canada, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Ecuador, Estonia, Serbia, Singapore, Nepal, and the Czech Republic. The National Pavilions, official collectives of countries that choose the Rimini fair as a strategic showcase for their excellence, will make their debut in this 2026 edition, with Saudi Arabia, China, Ukraine, and Brazil present this year.
Finally, India, chosen as Guest Country 2026, will be present with a delegation of 50 top buyers and institutional representatives, as well as exhibitors specializing in ice cream technologies.
More attention to a changing world
Alongside the more traditional supply chains for the 47th Sigep World, this year there will be a strong focus on everything that connects and enhances them thanks to foodservice technologies, which will be brought together in the Kitchen Equipment Hub, a space dedicated to solutions that will change the way we produce, serve, and manage.
Foodservice will be showcased through special projects, thematic platforms that connect products, supply chains, and business models. Luxury Hotel Food Experience, Sustainability District, Innovation Bar, Gelato Meets Chains, and Pizza (R)evolution will be the paths through which the fair will intercept the transformations taking place: from the role of food in premium hotels to the new balance of bars, from sustainable supply chains to the strategies of international chains.
47th Sigep World: flyers, origins, and new market responsibilities
There will also be a strong focus on sustainability with the Sustainability District, which reconfirms the area dedicated to international dialogue, with in-depth analysis of the cocoa and coffee supply chains, as well as offering new technological solutions and case histories in the food world, connecting producers, cooperatives, institutions, and companies throughout the value chain.
The project involves ICE – Italian Trade Agency, IILA – Italian-Latin American Institute, European Coffee Federation, and IICCT – International Institute of Chocolate and Cacao Tasting, Anima Confindustria, and universities such as BBS Bologna Business School and H-FARM. These organizations bring to Rimini the voice of the countries of origin and production areas, together with innovations, technological opportunities related to energy sustainability, and new frontiers in food.
The 47th Sigep World will also feature 21 cooperatives from Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, and Kenya, as well as Latin American countries such as Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic, with the aim of promoting more equitable, transparent, and market-oriented models of cooperation.
The district will also feature Chocolate Origins and the Bean to Bar journey, which recounts the transformation of cocoa from bean to bar, with the Choco Village dedicated to the craftsmanship of chocolate. For the 2026 edition, space will also be given to tea culture as a new frontier in the premium segment.
