From 19 to 22 November, Fieramilano Rho will host MIBA 2025 – Milan International Building Alliance, a trade fair format that brings together four events – GEE, Made expo, Smart Building Expo and Sicurezza – to showcase the evolution of buildings and cities with a holistic approach that encompasses materials, technologies, solutions and systems.

GEE – Global Elevator Exhibition (horizontal and vertical mobility), Made expo (construction and architecture), Smart Building Expo (technological integration) and Sicurezza (security & fire) are preparing to host more than 1,250 companies from 38 countries in eight pavilions.

Foreign representation is significant, accounting for 28% of the total; among the most represented countries are Germany, Spain, Poland and France, as well as China, confirming the international scope of the offering.

As always, there is a strong focus on training and professional development, with more than 100 events focusing on the challenges facing the four sectors: sustainability, digitalisation, security and the application of artificial intelligence.

Italy as a hub for building and city innovation

As Paola Sarco, CEO of Made Eventi and Head of Building & Industrial Exhibitions at Fiera Milano, pointed out: ‘In a market that demands an increasingly synergistic approach, with MIBA 2025 we offer a unique opportunity where materials, technologies, networks and systems interact with each other, supporting the ongoing energy and digital transition.’ This choice makes our country a hub of reference for building and city innovation, placing it at the centre of the international scene, as evidenced by the many foreign companies present at Fieramilano.

The Italian residential property market is showing signs of vitality, as noted by the Italian Revenue Agency-OMI, which highlighted an acceleration in home sales in 2025: +11.2% in the first quarter and +8.1% in the second. Growth driven by falling mortgage rates.

In this scenario, the event aims to position itself on the market as a strategic platform for presenting solutions and technologies capable of responding to not only contemporary but also future challenges.

The four assets of the 2025 edition

At MIBA 2025 – https://www.madeexpo.it/en/miba.html the building is at the centre of the four events in different dimensions.

One of these is design, an essential part of the rebirth of a building, but also a meeting point for different professionals, united by the goal of conceiving, planning and developing the architectural and functional idea of a structure. Viewed in its three social, economic and environmental meanings, sustainability is one of the main requirements for the redevelopment of a building. This asset is expressed in accessibility, the use of environmentally friendly materials, bioclimatic design and the use of smart technologies for monitoring and managing energy consumption.

Safety at MIBA 2025: a mosaic of four trade fairs covering the entire supply chain includes all the technologies and measures that allow residents to live in comfort every day. However, safety also means data management, which is essential for the operational continuity of a smart, connected building.

Finally, digitalisation is essential both in the design and management of all building functions. Through digitalisation, comfort, safety and sustainability find their concrete application.
