Marca 2025 By BolognaFiere closed edition nr 21, which took place January 15-16, with numbers to remember. The only event dedicated in Italy to the Distributor Brand (MDD) and capable at the European level of bringing together the main retailers of modern distribution, this year saw the presence of 1,300 companies, +23% compared to 2024, 35,000 square meters of exhibition area (up 26% vs 2024), 9 pavilions (+2) and the participation of 24 gdo brands.
These also include Carrefour, Conad, Coop, Cortilia, Crai, Despar, Fratelli Arena, S&C Consorzio Distribuzione Italia, Selex, VéGé, Lekkerland, MD Italia, Migross, Pam Panorama, PiùMe, and Risparmio Casa, to name a few.

Arrivals from abroad are on the rise

In fact, among the arrivals from abroad stand out the more than 300 international buyers – twice as many as last year – for a total of 60 countries. Prominent among them were the U.S., China, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, South Africa and India, which contributed to increasing the global dimension to the event.

More than 9,000 B2B meetings between MDD companies and foreign large-scale distribution retailers, most of which took place during the new International Buyers Preview on January 14, organized on the eve of the fair’s official opening.

Marca, BolognaFiere and ADM together until 2031.

Results that reconfirmed the strategic partnership between Marca 2025 By BolognaFiere and ADM – Associazione Distribuzione Moderna until 2031, also sharing the ownership of the brand which, from the 2026 edition, will become ‘Marca by BolognaFiere and ADM’.
