BolognaFiere concluded the second edition of Time On Show 2024, dedicated to the world of vintage and collectible watches, which took place Oct. 23-26.
Definitely positive were the numbers of this second edition. The “Gallery Hall,” set up between pavilions 25 and 26 of Auto e Moto d’Epoca, embellished by the Riva Lounge and the Riva Boutique, was visited by 12,000 people, of whom 5,600 registered to the reserved club. Visitors were able to admire watches put on display by 14 internationally renowned watch exhibitors, selected by the organizing committee.
During the three days, journalist Paolo Gobbi moderated several talk shows, attended by, among others, Mauro Baldi, former Formula 1 driver and collector, Cesare Maria Manucci, creator with Auro Montanari, of the book series “Time to Race,” which combines the world of cars and watches. Plus: Mario Paci, engineer of the Panerai brand; Luca and Lory Giallo, of Orologi e Passioni; and watch collector Pucci Papaleo.
Time On Show 2024 was also an opportunity to present the first edition of “Time to Collect,” an official magazine dedicated to collecting at 360 degrees, founded by Paolo Borgomanero, Auro Montanari and Pier Luigi Santi in collaboration with the Florence Publishing Group.
An event that grows richer every year
Paolo Borgomanero, one of the promoters, said, “Originally started as a secondary division of Auto e Moto d’Epoca, the event is gaining its own independent identity. Collectors of vintage and vintage watches are growing. This is a phenomenon driven by widespread nostalgia for products that are now out of production, which offers interesting prospects for expansion abroad as well. For Time On Show 2024 www.timeonshow.com there is an opportunity to move forward, to enrich and expand the project. The event is showing itself as a beginning of something bigger.”
See you again next October
Gianpiero Calzolari, President of BolognaFiere: “This event has enhanced our exhibition calendar with an unprecedented event. Important was the positivity and the relationships that were created between watch and historic car collectors. With this edition we had confirmation of the possibility of development and internationalization of the format.”
Due to the success again this year, the promoters have reconfirmed the event again in 2025, from October 23 to 26.
