On January 31, BolognaFiere, where it will conclude on February 3, kicked off Devotio 2026, the only event in Italy and the leading global event dedicated to devotional products and services for the religious sector.

Now in its fifth edition, the event is sold out. In fact, 229 exhibitors from Italy and 17 other countries are present in a 15,000 square meter exhibition area, where thousands of visitors from about 50 countries on all continents are expected. On display are religious articles and objects for worship—crucifixes, rosaries, sacred images, statues and nativity scenes, liturgical vestments and sacred art, and more—as well as audio equipment, donation collection systems, furnishings and technology for churches, and clothing for the clergy.

Devotio 2026: a wide-ranging, high-quality exhibition

Every two years, the entire religious sector supply chain gathers in Bologna for what has become the most important international trade fair for devotional products,” pointed out Valentina Zattini, CEO of Conference Service, the company organizing the event, during the opening conference. This edition will once again see the participation of thousands of manufacturers, artists and artisans, service providers, associations, promotional agencies, and places of worship.” It is an important opportunity to present new products, find new customers, create partnerships, and strengthen one’s identity, thanks in part to the richness and quality of both the exhibition and cultural offerings of our event.

Exhibitions and cultural events

The cultural program of Devotio 2026 includes a dozen conferences, workshops, and round tables, which will address topics such as the church as a space for the ecclesia, art and literature in dialogue with the sacred, singing and music in the liturgy, the restoration of churches and bells, and Italian ecclesiastical law.

Three exhibitions will also be held during the event. ‘Oltre i percorsi’ (Beyond the Paths) features works by 11 young artists who participated in the initiative ‘Percorsi di riavvicinamento: artisti contemporanei a confronto con il mistero cristiano’ (Paths of Reconciliation: Contemporary Artists Confronting the Christian Mystery) from 2017 to 2024. ‘Casule d’artista’ (Artist’s Chasubles) will feature an exhibition of 10 liturgical vestments designed by 10 artists as part of an initiative by Atelier Sirio, while ‘Via Crucis’ by Filip Moroder Doss will present scenes from Pope John Paul II’s meditations for the biblical Way of the Cross celebrated at the Colosseum in 2002.
