From 7 to 9 February 2026, the Fortezza da Basso in Florence will host Taste 2026, a food fair that is part of the Pitti Immagine events, showcasing the excellence and uniqueness of contemporary food and wine.
The protagonists of the upcoming event will be over 750 companies representing food and wine production and culture, combining tradition and modernity.
The range of offerings will be even richer in this 2026 edition. In addition to the leading companies, visitors will be able to discover more than 100 companies that, after careful scouting by the organising team, will be making their debut at the Florentine event.
Taste 2026: in search of “True Food”
“True Food” is the subtitle of the event, which emphasises authenticity and substance, starting with the raw materials.
‘The event is growing in a spontaneous and sustainable way, thanks to a careful selection of new entrants,’ emphasises Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine. “That’s why in 2026 we have decided to go to the essence of what nourishes us, in short, real food. We will do this through our exhibitors and with the valuable guidance of talks and events that will help us reflect and provide us with insights into the evolution of food”.
Alongside the exhibition, there will be events, talks and presentations located both in the Fortezza da Basso and in the city, with a varied calendar to showcase and discover, through experiences of taste and conviviality, the companies exhibiting at Taste 2026.
In fact, “Fuori di Taste” will be back again next year, involving the city of Florence. Tastings, themed dinners, meetings and presentations will “invade” the most beautiful venues in Florence, transforming them into the ideal stage for the “fuori salone” events.
The 2025 edition saw a 24% increase in foreign visitors
With each edition, the exhibition continues to attract the attention of an increasing number of food and wine professionals from abroad.
This year’s event saw a 24% increase in international buyers. In fact, 900 international buyers – specialised shops, distributors and importers, department stores, horeca professionals, restaurateurs, chefs and raw material experts – arrived in the Tuscan capital from France, Germany, the United States, Switzerland, Great Britain, Spain, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Turkey.
At Taste 2026 – https://taste.pittimmagine.com/ – there was also a good turnout from Eastern Europe and many extra-continental markets. These included Australia, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Brazil and New Zealand.
As for visitors in 2025, the number exceeded 12,300, including 8,483 buyers and over 600 journalists and media operators. The international dimension of the event grew, with almost 900 foreign buyers representing over 60 countries.
