Hotel 2025 edition: courage and the ability to innovate
The Bolzano exhibition, which is once again one of the main events in the Alps, is not just a “simple” showcase, but a real laboratory of ideas and inspiration for the future of hospitality.
For almost fifty years, the fair has been an integral part of the South Tyrolean tourism scene and demonstrates that sustainable hospitality is not a goal, but a continuous journey. ‘The sector is demonstrating courage and the ability to reinvent itself, and this is precisely what we want to highlight,’ explained brand manager Daniel Degasperi. Indeed, the event continues to bring together business, politics and society, confirming its role as a meeting place for building the future of hospitality.
Hotel Sustainability Award 2025
During the opening day of Hotel 2025 edition, the winners of the Hotel Sustainability Award 2025 were also announced. Now in its seventh edition, the award recognises companies that successfully combine environmental, economic and social responsibility in an exemplary manner. It is a concrete demonstration of how sustainability can become an integral part of the culture of hospitality.
With over 70 entries, including 30 from hotels and restaurants, this year’s award confirms the sector’s growing commitment to a more responsible future. There are five award categories, reflecting the variety and vitality of sustainable practices in tourism and gastronomy: Sustainable Food & Drink; Circular Product Design; Sustainable Technology; Sustainable Tourism Pioneers 360°; Better Together.
‘With the Hotel Sustainability Award, we want to give visibility to those who, with courage and vision, are redefining the future of hospitality in a sustainable way,’ commented Thomas Mur, director of Fiera Bolzano. ‘This year’s winners demonstrate that innovation, respect for the environment and economic success can go hand in hand.’
Hotel 2025 edition: old favourites and new additions
The Hotel Tours, organised in collaboration with the South Tyrol Architecture Foundation, are back for this 49th edition. This well-established initiative offers concrete examples of how architecture and employee well-being can be harmoniously integrated.
The kmBIOmeile, on the other hand, focuses on the short supply chain and the promotion of local producers in South Tyrol, Trentino and Tyrol, who make quality and proximity the pillars of sustainability. New this year is the Startup@Hotel section, dedicated to young companies and innovative ideas that look to the future of hospitality.
