At the 16th Salone del Camper, scheduled from September 13 to 21 in Parma, once again this year among the protagonists will be the chefs of the Unione Ristoranti del Buon Ricordo, the oldest Italian association among restaurateurs founded in 1964.
Now in its 16th edition, Italy’s leading trade fair dedicated to caravanning and en plein air tourism will host chefs-from all over Italy and coordinated by the association’s secretary general Luciano Spigaroli of the Cavallino Bianco in Polesine Parmense-who will tell in the ‘Cooking in a camper’ format how in a camper it is possible to quickly and easily prepare good, healthy, well-presented dishes.
The 2025 innovations of the ‘Cooking in RV’ format.
Conceived by the show in collaboration with the URBR, Cooking in Camper will be presented in the 16th Camper Salon with several new features. Starting with the opportunity to taste a selection of Buon Ricordo dishes from a variety of restaurants from North to South of the peninsula, representative of the variety and uniqueness of Italian regional cuisine.
Three appointments each day will introduce the public to the best of Italian gastronomic tradition and will be held in a personalized Buon Ricordo outdoor space in the area between Halls 3 and 5. Another new feature of the 16th Salone del Camper is the Buon Ricordo VIP Experience.
That is, every day at 1 p.m., there will be an opportunity to participate in an exclusive gastronomic experience, where each of the participating restaurants will prepare its own Buon Ricordo specialty from time to time. At the end, participants will be given a hand-painted Buon Ricordo plate as a gift.
Buying the RV, an investment for life
Visiting the 5 pavilions dedicated to the 16th Salone del Camper – www.salonedelcamper.it -, organized by Fiere di Parma in cooperation with APC, Association of Caravan and Camper Manufacturers, is a unique experience even for those who have never approached this industry.
Here you can see and touch the latest models of motorhomes, overcabs, semi-integrated, vans and vans. As well as everything needed to make motorhome travel increasingly comfortable and easy.
Attention on the event is high thanks also to the numbers recorded in 2024: more than 100,000 admissions, 55,000 tickets issued online; more than 42,000 vehicles parked in the stalls at the fair. More than 110,000 square meters of exhibition space reserved for 330 exhibitors; more than 600 recreational vehicles on display; more than 500 accredited journalists, bloggers, vloggers and instagrammers. And 10 different areas for events and experiential activities.
“The importance of the sector,” stressed Gloria Oppici, brand manager of Fiere di Parma and the 16th Salone del Camper – is also demonstrated by the attention paid by the Ministry of Tourism, which has allocated 33 million euros in 2024 (call for bids extended until Jan. 22, 2025) for the creation and redevelopment of RV parks, with the aim of attracting quality tourism. This is also confirmed to us by the fact that there are already more than 170 exhibitors who have so far joined the event next September.”
