IEG 2025 Italian Exhibition Group has won the UFI Digital Innovation Award 2025, an international recognition promoted by UFI – The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, which brings together 900 realities of the global exhibition system.

Every year, the association awards the most innovative projects in the industry globally, from human resources to digital innovation, from marketing to sustainable development.

In the Digital Innovation category, the 2025 theme was ‘Driving Change through Digital Innovation,’ which aimed to identify the most innovative strategies demonstrating how companies can use technology to make a measurable impact on a trade show or organization’s performance. And IEG 2025 won the award with its ‘All-in-one Ecosystem’ nomination.

The winners of the UFI Awards 2025 will be officially honored at the 92nd UFI Global Congress this November in Hong Kong SAR

Increasingly smart and connected experiences

This is the statement by Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG: “Winning the UFI Digital Innovation Award represents recognition of Italian Exhibition Group’s commitment – https://www.iegexpo.it/en/- in serving our communities. This result reinforces our determination to create increasingly smart and connected experiences for customers and stakeholders, in line with our mission: to be community catalysts.”

The IEG system that revolutionizes the trade show experience

The integrated technology ecosystem developed by the Innovation area of IEG 2025 led by Simone Zaccherini was evaluated as the most advanced proposal for its ability to radically transform the trade show experience. And this is thanks to the use of artificial intelligence, automation and unified data management.

Underlying the system is the goal of simplifying the interaction between exhibitors, visitors and organizers. This ranges from registration to post-event content enjoyment, via a new mobile app and an omnichannel platform that ensures continuity of experience across all touchpoints. In addition, the adoption of AI makes it possible to personalize user journeys and improve the effectiveness of engagement and services, with a significant impact on exhibition performance.
