AutopromotecUSA 2025 in collaboration with Autopromotec, a kermesse scheduled from May 21 to 24 next year at the Bologna Fairgrounds, and in line with recent years, two Italian collective areas were organized at SEMA Show and AAPEX, trade fairs dedicated to the automotive aftermarket in the USA. Organized and developed by ICE Agenzia with the support of Anfia and Aica, the project aimed to create solid and lasting connections between the excellence of made in Italy automotive and the dynamic North American market.
Autopromotec USA 2025: the numbers of the two U.S. appointments.
First appointment was held at the SEMA Show, November 5-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This is one of the world’s most important events for automotive aftermarket professionals, hosting about 70,000 buyers and more than 2,400 exhibiting companies. Among them were the 10 present at the Italian pavilion through the collective coordinated by ICE Agenzia: Bracchi Ruote, Evo Corse, Fasep 2000, Fiammenghi Italia, Frap, Govoni, HM4X4, M&B Engineering, Teknel and Zeca.
Simultaneously, from Nov. 5-7, AAPEX, which had 47,000 buyers and more than 2,500 exhibiting companies in 2023, took place at the Venetian Expo pavilions in Las Vegas. For the occasion, the Italy Pavilion hosted the companies Air Top Italia, Errecom, Esi Italia, Fiamm Energy Technology, Gart, Geicos Group, General Cab, Lopigom, Metelli-Graf, Nordic Jones, S.I.RA.L. and UFI Filters.
Autopromotec USA 2025: a market growing year on year
The U.S. automotive aftermarket grew 8.6 percent in 2023 and is expected to grow 5.9 percent this year. From 2025 to 2027, the average growth rate is estimated to be about 4.5 percent annually, reaching $472 billion by 2027. The industry comprises more than 534,000 enterprises, which include small and large independent manufacturers, distributors, repair shops, dealers and retailers. The industry provides repair products and services for 288 million vehicles on the road (including light, medium and heavy vehicles).
The valueof aftermarket parts sold in the U.S. in 2023 reached $200 billion. The top 5 supplier countries to the U.S. for vehicle and engine parts are Mexico, with a 41% share, Canada (13%), China (12%), Japan (9%) and South Korea (7%). Italy ranks 10th with a 1% share. In contrast, for equipment, the top 5 suppliers are Germany, with a 15% share, Canada (13%), Mexico (10%), South Korea (9%), and China (9%). Italy ranks 9th with a 3% share.
