Arredo BolognaFiere enters the furniture, design and finishes sector with five new B2B events to support Italian companies in their internationalisation and commercial development. The strategic focus of the new events will be on the African and Central Asian markets.
The expansion of the company’s international portfolio is linked to the agreement signed with Medinit, a Verona-based company specialising in B2B events and led by Francesco Bresolin. From 2026, BolognaFiere will acquire the use of the brands of five events that will be jointly designed and developed with the aim of strengthening their positioning and generating new business opportunities for Italian companies in the sectors involved.
Arredo BolognaFiere, as Antonio Bruzzone, CEO of BolognaFiere, pointed out, “design and furniture represent one of the most recognised sectors of Made in Italy and deserve promotional tools that are appropriate for the new global scenarios. The five events that we will develop together with Medinit will allow us to oversee strategic markets – from Africa to Central Asia – and create new connections between Italian companies and international operators. All this with a pragmatic, targeted approach geared towards the development of long-term commercial relationships”.
Arredo BolognaFiere: projects in Morocco and Uzbekistan
Two of the trade fairs will take place in Morocco. The first is Medinit Expo | Hotel & Spa, scheduled to take place in Casablanca from 20 to 21 May 2026, dedicated to design, furnishings, accessories and finishes for the hotel industry in the Kingdom of Morocco. Medinit Expo Le Design Italien à Casablanca will take place from 21 to 22 October 2026, also dedicated to design, furniture, accessories and finishes for construction. During both events, B2B meetings will be held between Italian companies and Moroccan industry operators.
On 16 and 17 November 2026, Medinit Expo business meetings will take place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, between Italian furniture companies and Uzbek professionals (architectural firms, importers, distributors and retailers).
At Arredo BolognaFiere https://bolognafiere.it/, but with a target audience dedicated to the Balkan, Baltic and Central Asian markets, MATCH4 Business Matching will take place on 25-26 February 2027. The event will offer Italian companies a hub for discussion and networking with buyers from market areas characterised by GDP growth rates above the European average. As well as significant investments in infrastructure projects and industrial development.
Arredo BolognaFiere: the Made in Italy business looks to the African market
Also in Bologna, from 16 to 17 September 2026, African architects and professionals will arrive at the exhibition centre’s pavilions to meet representatives of Italian companies operating in the furniture, design and finishes sectors.
Africa, with 54 countries and 1.3 billion inhabitants, is now one of the most dynamic markets in the world, with growing investments in infrastructure, hospitality, real estate, energy and production chains.
In 2024, Italian exports to the continent reached €18 billion, with a forecast growth of 5.6% in 2025.
