An annual event organised by Fiera Milano with Fandango Club Creators, 2025 Milan Games Week & Cartoomics is preparing for its 2025 edition, which will open its doors in pavilions 9, 11, 14 and 18 of Fieramilano Rho from 28 to 30 November. The protagonists of this edition are video games, which were born over 70 years ago in Cambridge with the debut of the first video game in history.

Since then, the art of video gaming has grown and developed, becoming part of everyday life in different forms and facets. From increasingly diverse genres based on different approaches to gameplay, to storytelling that makes the experience increasingly immersive, to the characters around whom the many stories revolve.

Panels, meetings, meet & greets, but also lots of gameplay await the numerous visitors, thanks to over 300 free-to-play gaming stations that will be present inside the pavilions, in dedicated areas and in the spaces of the gaming giants that will be present, such as Nintendo and Bandai Namco Entertainment.

Diabolik, testimonial of Italian excellence

While video games will be the stars of 2025 Milan Games Week & Cartoomics, the world of comics and manga will not be outdone, thanks to the presence of the leading national comic and manga publishers. In addition to the historic publishers and newcomer Tomodachi Press, the Astorina publishing house will also be present, featuring in a special initiative involving Diabolik, this year’s official ambassador for Italian excellence around the world.

Astorina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will present the book “Diabolik – Italia, che meraviglia!” (Diabolik – Italy, how wonderful!) in Italian, French, English and Spanish, which will be made available to the diplomatic-consular network and Italian Cultural Institutes. The book is a collection of 10 short stories, written and illustrated by various authors, in which cities such as Venice, Milan, Rome, Matera and Naples provide the backdrop for the different narratives, which recount the many areas for which Italy is known throughout the world.

A limited number of copies of the book will be presented and distributed during the event. In addition, an exhibition dedicated to the stories in the book will be set up at the Astorina stand.

2025 Milan Games Week: for cosplay enthusiasts, focus on Mandalorian culture

There will be plenty of space dedicated to cosplay, where the public will be transported to spectacular, science fiction worlds inside the event’s studios. In particular, ahead of the May release of “The Mandalorian & Grogu”, this year’s Star Wars area will host a section entirely dedicated to Mandalorian culture.

Meanwhile, the collaboration between 2025 Milan Games Week & Cartoomics www.milangamesweek.it and the Municipality of Milan continues, with four workshops aimed at young people aged 13 to 25, to show and teach them the techniques behind the artistic and creative process behind some of the most popular expressions of urban and geek culture.

The next event will be on Friday 24 October 2025 with Board Games & Role-Playing Lab, at the Casa dei Giochi in Sant’Uguzzone (Viale Monza).
