From May 21-22 at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence the e-P Summit 2025, an event organized by Pitti Immagine and dedicated to digital and technological innovations for the fashion industry, was staged. In this edition, the spotlight was focused on new applications of artificial intelligence throughout the production chain and in the customer journey.

For this edition, the event strengthened its role as a meeting platform for the protagonists of digital transformation: from IT teams to decision makers, from hardware and software solution providers to the most visionary startups. On the agenda, on the stages of the UniCredit Theatre and the new e-P Summit Ring, people talked about artificial intelligence, supply chain and customer journey, transparency, sustainability and content creation.

The 2025 program was curated by scientific director Rinaldo Rinaldi, a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Florence, who has been studying the synergies between fashion and ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) for years.

How technology is changing the fashion world

“With e-P Summit 2025 we offer the fashion and luxury industry an increasingly concrete space in which to dialogue with technological innovation, starting from real needs and operational solutions,” commented Raffaello Napoleone, Pitti Immagine CEO. At a time when artificial intelligence, sustainability and digital transformation are redefining business models and creativity, it is crucial to build bridges between tech companies and brands, between research and industry. This is our commitment and is at the heart of e-P Summit: an open laboratory on the future of fashion, between visionary drive and pragmatism.”

Among the topics discussed during the two-day Florentine e-P Summit 2025 are those related to retail and omnichannel, or integration between physical and digital stores, data and artificial intelligence to create more engaging, efficient and innovative shopping experiences, and wearable technologies, when innovations in wearable devices influence design, user experience and sustainability. Focus also on the second wave of AI, the twin transition, data governance, and the supply chain.

The e-P Summit Innovation Award

The two awards given by the Innovation Call to the best fashion tech startups were also presented during the gala dinner.

The e-P Summit 2025 Innovation Award went to Movopack, which specializes in reusable packaging. A project that, according to the motivation, “stood out for its ability to combine retail efficiency and sustainability in a measurable, scalable and immediately applicable way.” The initiative helps strengthen customer loyalty and also enables brands themselves to become active agents of change, offering a more sustainable alternative in the fashion and retail world.

The other e-P Summit 2025 award – https://epsummit.pittimmagine.com/it – went to the phygital Tailoor platform, based on AI and 3D technology. An award given, as the motivation explains, to “an innovative reality that already has an international imprint and leverages AI to offer personalized and comprehensive services to fashion.”
