In Italy, Lombardy tops in AI investments
“Hundreds of Italian companies are now involved in the artificial intelligence wave,” said Pasquale Viscanti, another co-founder of AI Explained Simple and co-organizer of AI Week 2025 – https://www.aiweek.it -. “A few years ago, organizations were asking us who was able to offer ‘AI addicted’ solutions; now, however, the question is what these vendors can do to improve the business and operations of organizations. The answer, indeed the answers have specific names and can take different forms, including platforms, chatbots and even virtual avatars that can converse.”
Nationally, according to surveys and studies by the event organizers, Lombardy is the region that is investing the most (43 percent), followed by Piedmont (12 percent) and Lazio (10 percent). In the world, however, no one is currently keeping up with the United States in terms of AI investment.
