63th Filo, the international yarn and fiber show, opened its doors on Feb. 26 at the Allianz MiCo spaces in Milan, where it will conclude on Thursday, Feb. 27. During the event, visitors and the press will thus be able to discover and ‘touch’ yarns, fibers, the materials, dyes, finishes, and processes of the highest quality intended for the high-end.
Not only new products
The first edition of 2025 opens its doors in a new location, which is still in the Portello exhibition grounds in Milan. A location chosen on the basis of criteria of functionality and efficiency, to meet the needs and demands of exhibiting companies and visitors.
This new space is, as always, organized to give maximum visibility to the products on display, through a rational layout of the stands.
At this 63th Filo, however, some new features should be mentioned, developed by the organizers to make the visit easier and smoother.
At the entrance to the fair, buyers encounter the proposals of the Quick Delivery Point, immediately available yarns, and a ‘Yarn for Knitting,’ while the Creative Dialogues area expands to accommodate a new section dedicated to product research&development.
The FiloFlow project continues
It is precisely in this space that visitors encounter the absolute novelty not only for this 63th Filo, but for the entire panorama of textile fairs. We are talking about the Filo Capsule Collection, which welcomes fabric prototypes based on the yarns proposed by exhibitors and through the best processing techniques that manufacturing offers. It consists of 60 fabrics offered on 30 totems and accompanied by exhaustive product data sheets for both yarns and fabrics.
Maximum visibility for the collections is also ensured by the Sustainability area, dedicated to yarns and materials made with sustainable production processes by FiloFlow member companies.
More and more internationality
All these spaces find expression in the creative and qualitative richness of the companies’ collections, perfectly set in a setting inspired by the theme ‘Collages,’ chosen by Gianni Bologna, the event’s creativity and style manager, for this edition’s creative proposals. To enhance even more the quality of the materials on display at the show, the organizers decided to focus not only on the stylistic content of the products, but also on the technical content, obtained thanks to manufacturing techniques that combine tradition and cutting-edge processes.
Within the 63th Filo – https://filo.it/ – the Filo Capsule Collection itself was designed to respond to these concepts and enhance the processing techniques of a manufacture that maintains all its value unchanged over time.
As usual, a delegation of foreign buyers organized with ICE – Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies and composed of 35 industry professionals and journalists arriving from France, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, India, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Spain, and South Korea is present.
