The Stazione Leopolda and the city of Florence from February 28 to March 2 will host the fourth edition of 4th Testo [How to Become a Book], the event reserved for contemporary publishing and its protagonists.
As many as 174 publishing houses will be present, 44 of them making their debut in Florence. There will be no shortage of guests – 210 – who will participate in the 200 events hosted both at the Leopolda and in various Florentine cultural institutions.
Organized by Pitti Immagine in partnership with Stazione Leopolda and the conception of Todo Modo, the event will once again be an opportunity to take a close look at the great laboratory of publishing and to get to know, from the inside, its mechanisms.

Seminars and workshops for all

New for the 4th Testo will be Testofficina, or a series of seminars and workshops with the most influential professionals in international publishing and Italian publishing. These include Luciano Perondi, Maximage studio, Sebastian Budgen of Verso Books, Saverio Raimondo, Lorenzo Mattotti, to name a few.

This year’s program focuses specifically on graphic design-visual identity, graphic design, type design, illustration-, radical publishing, and comic writing.
Through the initiative, the Florentine event promises to delve into and make available to participants the best examples of craftsmanship and creativity in the publishing professions. A certificate of participation will be issued.

The Testofficina courses will be held at Stazione Leopolda and Polimoda on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025. Meetings are limited in number and can be purchased and booked at testo.pittimmagine.com
