The future of agromechanics on display at BolognaFiere.
More than 60 thousand models of machines, equipment and components will be on display at the fair: from tractors to combine harvesters, from tillage equipment to treatment and harvesting machines, from forestry equipment to gardening and landscaping equipment. Novelties and more were on display at the 46th Eima edition www.eima.it, in front of a crowd consisting not only of business operators, farmers, contractors and technicians, but also students and enthusiasts.
Special spotlight on robots, drones, digital technologies and artificial intelligence systems that represent the new frontier of agromechanics. And which are already responding to the challenges of food security, environmental sustainability and climate change.
Organized into 14 product sectors and the five thematic salons-Components, Digital, Energy, Green and Hydrotech-the 2024 edition of the fair offered a wide choice of means to increase agricultural productivity while reducing its impact on the environment.
Accompanying the exhibition part was a schedule of more than 150 meetings and conferences.
“At the 46th Eima edition we welcomed visitors from all over the world,” as Mariateresa Maschio, president of FederUnacoma, the Italian federation of manufacturers and also organizer of the show, pointed out, ”and we tried to analyze the evolution of demand in the traditional markets of Europe and America, the emerging markets of India and China and the new mechanization markets of Southeast Asia and Africa. In every region of the world there are different models of agriculture, and the task of the agromechanical industry is to offer tailor-made solutions.”
Essential for the sector to know the new technologies
“The 46th Eima edition took place at a time that is not easy for the market, which is affected by the unfavorable economic situation, uncertainty on international markets and the transition to a new system of incentives,” recalled Simona Rapastella, director general of FederUnacoma. ”Yet the exhibition knows no crisis and achieves an extraordinary result. Anyone who works in agriculture knows that new technologies are indispensable and that it is necessary to get to know them closely and plan investments, in short, to get into the heart of the ‘innovation factory’ and be its protagonists.”
