Taking place May 21-24 at Fieramilano Rho, the 28th Xylexpo is the international biennial dedicated to woodworking technologies and the furniture industry. With the Covid emergency over, the show has in fact resumed its historical location, namely the spring period. Promoted since 1968 by Acimall, which brings together Italian manufacturers of woodworking machinery and tools, the event offers a comprehensive view of the world of woodworking, interpreting the evolution toward sustainability and digitalization.
“We carefully evaluated, in full agreement with all the main players in the sector, all the alternatives and carefully considered the role of our fair as an important promotional vehicle. This path has led us to choose for the 2024 edition the days from May 21 to 24, for the first time from Tuesday to Friday: a time frame more in line with the current needs of exhibitors and visitors, especially international ones,” as pointed out Luigi De Vito, president of the show and Acimall.

28th Xylexpo: growing interest from companies

Recognized as a worldwide appointment for high technology destined for woodworking, the Milan fair is the starting point of the cycle of innovation that will characterize the biennium 2024-2026, reaffirming the desire to tell a preview of the innovations that companies will decide to propose to a highly qualified audience of operators.
A showcase that tells both the excellence of made in Italy and the offer of solutions, technologies, tools and equipment proposed by international exhibitors, who find in the Lombard location an opportunity for contact and business with the Italian market.

28th Xylexpo: a look at sustainability

One of the leading markets-apparent consumption: 1,124 million euros in 2022-and evolved worldwide, with a strong projection on European markets. Suffice it to say that this year the share of foreign visitors exceeding 30 percent of the total on the more than 260 exhibitors, who animate the approximately 25 thousand square meters of exhibition space, Halls 1 and 3.

“A particularly important opportunity,” commented Dario Corbetta, director of the event, “in light of the recent measures related to Industry 5.0. As is well known, Italian companies will be able to take advantage of tax incentives of up to 45 percent of the investment. Provided that this reflects certain characteristics in terms of digitization but above all – and herein lies the novelty – sustainability.”
The 28th Xylexpo https://www.xylexpo.com/it/ is therefore an important moment both for exhibitors, who will have the opportunity to show how and how much their technologies are now updated in “sustainability key,” and for visitors, who can in turn learn about the new technological level to which woodworking machinery is also called.
