There will be not only the whole made-in-Italy wine industry but also the representation of at least 30 countries at Vinitaly 2024 , scheduled at Veronafiere from April 14 to 17.
At the moment (mid-March, ed.) the more than 180,000 net sqm will be occupied by 4,000 wineries already confirmed. A well-established exhibition participation that confirms the centrality of the international wine and spirits fair, which is increasingly targeted on the needs of businesses and on the promotion of the sector in Italy and on foreign, historical and emerging markets.

Investing in export and incoming

Vinitaly 2024’s new strategic plan “One 2024-2026” also goes in this direction. A project that contemplates a strengthening of the fair’s mission to amplify the promotional platform and to ensure, at the same time, investments for incoming from the most strategic export markets.
Moreover, the path of qualitative selection of operators started for the 2023 edition continues, with an extraordinary recruiting program that had brought to Verona more than 29 thousand international operators from 143 nations (out of a total of 93 thousand attendees). Of these more than a thousand top buyers were chosen and hosted by Veronafiere and Ice-Agency. While there were 11 thousand appointments planned between exhibitors and buyers on the Vinitaly Plus platform to which were added those set directly between companies and operators.

Also reconfirmed at Vinitaly 2024 the off-show

Simultaneously with the 56th edition of the event dedicated to wine and spirits, the 28th Sol, International olive oil trade show (area C), a pavilion dedicated exclusively to olive oil; Xcellent Beers (area C) and the 25th Enolitech, dedicated to technologies for the production of wine, oil and beer (pav. F) will also take place.
With the three exhibitions, the number of companies present in the 17 halls of the fair rises to nearly 4,300 (as of today).

Vinitaly Opera Wine event returns

A total of 131 producers have been selected by Wine Spectator and Vinitaly 2024 for the 13th edition of Vinitaly Operawine, the premiere event of the international trade show that shines the spotlight each year on the ambassadors and iconic labels of Italian wine in the States. At Gallerie Mercatali on Saturday, April 13, there will be 3 debuts compared to the 2023 selection. They will be joined by 6 companies returning to the list after last year’s absence.
With 33 producers represented, Tuscany is once again the leading region, but the second and third steps of the podium are also confirmed, occupied respectively by Piedmont (19 wineries) and Veneto (18), followed in turn by Sicily, which rises from 10 wineries in 2023 to 16.
The theme of the layout of the 2024 appointment is opera, inscribed as of this year in the Unesco Intangible Heritage and a symbol of Verona throughout the world thanks to the Arena Opera Festival.
