19th Klimahouse: focus on social housing
Since its first edition in 2006, the fair, now in its 19th year, has always been forward-looking, with themes such as sustainability and energy efficiency at its core. The 2024 edition is also aimed at an audience consisting of both construction and architecture professionals, as well as private visitors interested in the topic of sustainable building.
And precisely in this regard, to meet the three criteria of sustainability, such as ecological, economic and social, the organizers are focusing on social housing. A transversal theme that aims to improve the living and housing conditions of all communities, with special attention to developing countries. An improvement that takes place through a new building style oriented to energy saving, low environmental impacts and living comfort.
Showcasing the most futuristic solutions
Innovation is at the heart of the program at the 19th Klimahouse. It ranges from thermal insulation to the most advanced air conditioning systems and indoor air quality, from digital technology solutions for intelligent building control to futuristic solutions.
During the Klimahouse Future Hub you will be able to explore a preview of cutting-edge solutions from 17 pioneering startups, selected in collaboration with PoliHub, the Innovation Park & Start-up Accelerator of the Politecnico di Milano. A partnership based on the common vocation to innovate, identifying the most advanced R&D solutions ready to be introduced to the market. These include two companies from South Tyrol, E-Kargo and Archygram, which, together with the other finalists, will have the opportunity to present themselves during the entire fair and participate in the Klimahouse Start-up Contest.
The winner of this edition will be announced by the jury, chaired by PoliHub Director Enrico Deluchi, at the end of the event.
