At the Fortezza da Basso in Florence from February 3 to 5, the appointment with Taste 2024, Pitti Immagine’s reference for contemporary food culture aimed at food & beverage professionals, returns. Now in its 17th edition, the event will see the spotlight on about 640 companies, representative of the values and specificities of Italian production culture and gastronomic tradition.
More than 100 companies are presenting themselves for the first time at the Florentine event. A representation of a sweet and savory Made in Italy ready to travel the world and conquer the most demanding tables and palates.
The exhibition itinerary, enriched by several new features, will also in 2024 allow an increasingly international audience of buyers to delve into trendy products, artisanal excellence and innovative productions. Without forgetting everything related to design dedicated to the table.
“Colors are served” is the theme of Taste 2024. Because colors are food for the eyes: red, blue, yellow, green stimulate joy, conviviality, memories.

Colors are the protagonists of the communication campaign announcing the event. Here the best-known ingredients of our tables have become colorful symbols of the great variety of flavors offered by the event’s exhibition route. An ideal menu, evocative but also concrete, to be enjoyed at the tip of the fork, from savory to sweet, to awaken the senses, starting with that of sight, and to ignite the desire to discover or rediscover Italian excellence.

Taste 2024: an increasingly prepared audience

“Taste continues to grow, but not only in quantitative terms”: this is the comment of Agostino Poletto, general director of Pitti Immagine. Poletto points out that in 17 editions, the number of companies presented has gone up, in the face of an increasing number of requests to participate. Requests that are selected through the tight mesh of quality, “thinking about the needs of our interlocutors, that is, professionals of the food world who are increasingly international and prepared. This is why today Taste is an event that brings together in one context both small niche companies and more structured companies that manage to satisfy wider markets while keeping quality and craftsmanship intact. Cult brands that we never tire of discovering and letting people discover.”

Internationality of the event grows

Thanks to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ICE Agency, a large delegation of buyers and operators from the most important specialty stores, food distribution companies, department stores and importers of Italian excellence, from markets will reach Taste 2024 https://taste.pittimmagine.com/. Many countries of arrival: from the United States to South Korea, from China to Scandinavia and the Baltic countries, just to name a few.
Added to these are buyers from the incoming program supported by Pitti Immagine, arriving from Japan, Brazil, India, Greece, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Slovakia, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
