The next edition of Hospitality 2024 edition-The Hospitality Show, scheduled at the Riva del Garda Fairgrounds from February 5 to 8, 2024, presents some novelties and reconfirmations for what concerns inclusive hospitality.
It continues, for example, thanks to new agreements and collaborations, the project that started last year, which is enriched with experiential and immersive itineraries, concrete examples of inclusive design, as well as ad hoc training activities to transform the needs of accessible tourism into feasible and manageable projects for operators to support them in developing their business.
After the agreement with Village for All – V4A, signed in 2022, Hospitality 2024 edition doubles the focus on accessible hospitality with the partnership with Lombardini22. That is, the leading group in the Italian architecture and engineering scenario that aims to create value and generate trust in the projects in which it is involved to stimulate the growth and development of the entire supply chain.
Because accessible tourism is a relevant market, considering that people with disabilities often do not travel alone, thus representing an opportunity for growth and development.
“Everyone’s” space debuts
“At Hospitality 2024 edition we will create a large area dedicated to accessible hospitality that will be called “everyone’s,” a multi-year project together with Village for All and Lombardini22 where we will tell about design for all intended for the hotel and non-hotel industry. A space where it will be possible to experiment with other ways of interpreting hospitality, with ideas and suggestions for rethinking the spaces of hospitality facilities and responding to the needs of an important market segment,” stressed Alessandra Albarelli, General Manager of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi. “And to tell about inclusive design and offer practical and useful tools to operators, we decided to start right from the reception, the place where every experience begins. Thanks to the collaboration with Lombardini22 and Village for All, we want to make our contribution to create social well-being and economic value, allowing our exhibitors and visitors to broaden their business horizons.”
Hospitality 2024 edition: it starts at the reception desk
Attract, engage, inform, share: these are the four key words that encapsulate the concept of the experiential space where it will be demonstrated how every accessibility need can become spatial ability through inclusive design.
This year at Hospitality 2024 edition www.hospitalityriva.it in the “everyone’s” area within Hall D, inclusivity will be investigated through reception spaces. Here the application of neuroscience to architecture allows for the recreation of the check-in and check-out experience with three experiential paths that tell the different needs of accessibility for visual sensory disabilities, physical and motor disabilities, auditory sensory disabilities and cognitive disabilities, which will allow people to see the dark, move the space, listen to the silence. All with the goal of improving the perception of this experience, but not only that. In fact, the project aims to contribute to the well-being of the guest and the decrease of user stress in this specific space.
