Eicma 2023 edition, the international two-wheel exhibition which took place from 9 to 12 November in the pavilions of Fieramilano Rho, has closed its 80th edition.
An edition that saw the participation of 2036 brands – a record for the event -, over 700 direct exhibitors, of which 67% arrived from abroad and represented 45 countries. More than 30% of the debuting companies in the eight pavilions occupied, two more than last year and three compared to 2021.
The premises of the 80th edition were already those of an announced success and the results, at the end of the exhibition week, awarded the Milanese event yet another gold medal.
In fact, attendance exceeded 560 thousand – 563,848 to be precise – +19% versus 2022. Numbers that attest to how this is the best edition in the history of Eicma.
Eicma 2023 edition: success also for the day dedicated to the press
The data related to the business sector is also excellent. In fact, there were 39,392 operators in the sector, selected and profiled with the quality criteria introduced in 2022. Of these, 52% came from abroad.
As for the media, there were more than 7000 people from 62 countries. Journalists, technicians and communication professionals, and content creators took advantage of the press day on Tuesday 7 November and reported, even during the days of the fair open to the public, what was happening inside and outside the pavilions.
Eicma 2023 edition public appreciation
The success of the MotoLive arena, a space dedicated to races, entertainment and entertainment, was also considerable. Almost 9,000 visitors took advantage of the test ride areas dedicated to e-Bikes and exhibitor vehicles. The Esports Arena, a brand new exhibition space dedicated to the gaming world, which debuted in this edition of Eicma 2023, was also taken by storm.
Of note is the interest dedicated to the YUM (Your Urban Mobility) area, another novelty for 2023, which welcomed businesses, institutions, law enforcement agencies and sector startups, to whom the event offered an international showcase thanks to the support of the ICE, the Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies.
Finally, the feedback on the digital services of Eicma 2023 edition www.eicma.it was positive and in particular those linked to online ticketing, a purchasing method chosen by 88% of the general public, while 12% opted for the physical box office.
Meanwhile, the organizers have already scheduled the appointment with Eicma 2024 from 5 to 10 November.
