R.I.V.E Pordenone 2023 – International exhibition of viticulture and oenology, the only Italian fair specialized in the wine supply chain scheduled from 8 to 10 November at Fiera di Pordenone, has ended. The fourth edition of the fair achieved excellent public success. Numbers that concern visitors exceeding the target of 10,000 presences are definitely growing compared to the 2021 edition.
The exhibitors were satisfied and also judged the quality of the contacts made during the three days of the fair to be very high: winemakers, cooperative wineries, production consortia, oenologists, winemakers and distributors from all over Italy and abroad. In fact, many arrivals from the Italian regions with the greatest wine-growing vocation. These include Trentino Alto Adige, Emilia Romagna and Lombardy, as well as Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
At R.I.V.E Pordenone 2023 there were also organized visits by Sicilian and Apulian groups and delegations and individual operators from Eastern European countries and the Balkan area. In particular from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Poland, Hungary. There were also presences at the fair from Austria, France, Georgia, Morocco, Romania, Switzerland, Portugal, Lithuania and Germany.
Overall, foreign visitors accounted for just under 7% of the total entries to the fair.

The role of institutions

Eight exhibition pavilions, more than 25,000 m2 of exhibition area, 250 stands with 300 brands represented, 50 events including conferences and workshops, a testing area for demonstrations of machinery at work in the field. The subjects who collaborated on the R.I.V.E Pordenone 2023 project were of very high profile, bringing a contribution of institutional authority and knowledge of the sector.
Among these Federunacoma for what concerns the agricultural mechanization sector, a crucial area in the evolution of the wine sector, and Federacma which brought the point of view and demands of trade. Alongside these two associations, various reference institutions for the world of agriculture in Friuli Venezia Giulia such as Ersa, the Regional Agency for Rural Development, the Chamber of Commerce of Pordenone and Udine and ITA (Italian Trade Agency), which contributed to the international profile that the event is increasingly taking on.

R.I.V.E Pordenone 2023: a leap in quality

The technical-scientific meetings which gave the visiting operators scientific and operational technical updates for their profession were always very crowded. While a preview of viticulture 4.0 took place at Dynamic RIVE, a program of dynamic field tests of the machines present at the fair which showed the most innovative technologies for vineyard care in action.
