
Starting on 9 November, Fieracavalli 2023 edition ended on Sunday 12 November at Verona Fiere, reconfirming the success in terms of audiences recorded last year. In fact, over 140 thousand people from 60 nations visited the 125th edition of the international show dedicated to the equestrian world.
As Federico Bricolo, president of Veronafiere, recalled, this is a result that particularly rewards the commitment and teamwork of an event whose objective is to support the development of a supply chain worth over 3 billion euros and employing 35 thousand people. Alongside the organizers not only the regional and national institutions, but also the ICE-Agency, the trade associations, FEI and FISE, businesses and the territory.
This Fieracavalli 2023 edition has once again reaffirmed the leading role for the entire national equestrian community, as underlined in the institutional visits to the fair by the ministers of Agriculture, Tourism, Sport and Disability.
The offer linked to horse riding has been strengthened
For four days at Fieracavalli 2023 edition the protagonists will be the 2,500 horses of 60 breeds. And among these Varenne, the world trotting legend, who received an award for his career.
This year too, one of the most followed events in the sporting calendar was the final of the only Italian stage of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup. Held on 12 November, the competition was won by the British Ben Maher, riding Dallas Vegas Batilly.
As many as 700 exhibiting companies from 25 countries and 35 breeding associations. 25 buyer delegations arrived from abroad, selected in collaboration with ICE-Agency from the target markets of Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Oman, Paraguay, Peru, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Uruguay .
Fieracavalli 2023 edition confirms itself as the main international container for trade business in the sector thanks also to the presence of the best brands on the market. And this is thanks to the trade fair format which, as recalled by Maurizio Danese, CEO of Veronafiere, combines business, entertainment, sport, breeding and social issues. “The strong point of the event has always been to constantly innovate: this year we have invested in enhancing animal safety and welfare with the Horse safety system project and in strengthening the offer linked to horse-riding tourism, with the debut of the Show of rural tourism and typical products”.
In fact, among the novelties of Fieracavalli 2023 edition https://fieracavalli.it/it/, the debut of the Horse Safety Loop, cordoned off paths reserved for animals, to guarantee animal well-being and allow everyone to get to know them up close and the horses safely. The scientific and steering committees, made up of an operational team of 40 people including experts, veterinarians and zoological guards, who checked the reports of the volunteers of the “Progetto Islander Onlus” association on a daily basis, monitored compliance with the code of ethics at the fair.
