Fieracavalli Verona 2023 is preparing to open its doors in the Verona exhibition center from 9 to 12 November. The 125th edition presents itself with a schedule of sporting events to fascinate both sector professionals and enthusiasts and the curious.
Great anticipation for the twenty-second edition of Jumping Verona, the only Italian stage of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup, which will culminate in the CSI5-W Grand Prix on Sunday 12 November. Here the best pairs in the world will compete in the ring of Pavilion 8 to win the fourth stage of the Western European League of the World Cup. The same competition ground of the Gotha of International Show Jumping will also be the stage for the finals of the Italian Champions Tour, a team circuit that arrives in Verona after four stages in as many Italian regions. Finally, Pavilion 8 will also host the 125×125 Gran Premio Fieracavalli Verona 2023 which will see the 125 best national duos involved.

The Equivia dei Forti is born

And while awaiting the inauguration, it presents the Equivia dei Forti project with the Municipality of Verona, an itinerary designed to help people discover the beauties of the Venetian city from a different perspective, that of the horse.
The initiative is part of “Smart Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage city”, a program promoted by the Department of Culture, Tourism and Relations as part of the initiatives to enhance the municipalities with a tourist-cultural vocation in the UNESCO sites, of which it is part the city too.

Fieracavalli Verona 2023: “slow” tourism

The routes of the Forti equivia, operational in 2024, will propose three different itineraries, for an offer that aims to make Verona, its territory and its historical-cultural heritage known.
The president of Veronafiere, Federico Bricolo, commented on the initiative: “For 125 years, Verona and its fair have been writing the history of the world of the horse, promoting its figure as an element of passion and economic activity. The creation of new equivias in the area strengthens Verona’s role as a “city of horses” and enhances its tourist vocation”.
“This new initiative allows you to experience firsthand the unique experience of Fieracavalli Verona 2023 outside the exhibition center and for 365 days a year – declared during the presentation the brand manager of the event Armando Di Ruzza – And it completes the offer with a journey to discover the historical and landscape beauties of the city from the top of a saddle”.

The new Forti bridle path is enhanced compared to the existing one in the mapping with refreshment points and the installation of shelter sheds for the horses. Three different but linked routes of the bridleway connect the Scaliger walls of the Torricelle and the urban ridge of the bastions, ideally connecting all the places where the city’s Habsburg forts stood. The starting point is always Corte Molon, where the operational heart of all Fieracavalli’s equestrian tourism and hippotherapy projects is based.
