BolognaFiere strengthens its position in the agri-food sector
“With the 12a Mercato dei Vini dei Vignaioli Indipendenti in the BolognaFiere trade fair calendar, Bologna establishes itself as the elective venue for events on sustainable, excellent quality wine, produced with artisanal and local methods – underlined the President of BolognaFiere, Gianpiero Calzolari – . BolognaFiere thus strengthens its positioning as a leading exhibition center in the agri-food sector, both in the food and beverage sectors”.
Lorenzo Cesconi, Winemaker and President of Fivi and 12a Mercato dei Vini dei Vignaioli Indipendenti: “For us Winemakers, the Wine Market is an event of enormous importance, of which all Fivi members are fond. It is no coincidence that a thousand of them responded, out of approximately 1,700 members, because the Market is first and foremost a unique and inimitable opportunity to meet and exchange views among colleagues and with the public. For this reason we have chosen Bologna as the ideal place to develop this associative event of ours: to grow in a coherent and adequate way, giving members and the public the opportunity to best enjoy the experience of the Wine Market”.
12a Mercato dei Vini dei Vignaioli Indipendenti: a consolidated format
BolognaFiere has made 30,000 square meters available, distributed across four pavilions. Of these, the winemakers will occupy pavilions 29 and 30, while 28 and 36 will host the food and services related to the event.
Moving the event to Bologna will allow the public to reach the event more easily by public transport, starting from the train. A choice of safety and sustainability in line with the spirit of the fair, and which should broaden the number of visitors, allowing numerous new customers to easily access the event.
Despite many new features, the format of the Independent Winemakers’ Wine Market will be similar to the one consolidated in eleven editions: a three-day exhibition-market with winemakers from all over Italy, arranged in random order in the large spaces of BolognaFiere, and with a pavilion reserved for gastronomic offerings.
The program of the 12a Mercato dei Vini dei Vignaioli Indipendenti www.mercatodeivini.it also includes four masterclasses dedicated to as many important native vines and created in collaboration with Alma – The international school of Italian cuisine.
