The Salone Nautico di Bologna 2023 sums up the first weekend underway in the exhibition pavilions of the capital’s exhibition district. Along with the increase in exhibitors, with over 100 boats present, there was a growth in visitors which indicates an increase of 300% compared to the 2022 edition.
Organized by Saloni Nautici Internazionali d’Italia (SNIDI), this year the show sees dozens of exhibitors and boats, between 5 and 16 metres, which will “invade” the over 20 thousand square meters of BolognaFiere until 29 October.

Salone Nautico di Bologna 2023: focus on the offer

The president of the organizing company Gennaro Amato underlined the further effort to ensure the quality of the offer for visitors and participating companies. An offer that includes the best of small and medium nautical production in 2023. “Furthermore, these numbers are a good omen also in view of the combination, from Thursday 26th to Sunday 29th, with the Vintage Cars and Motorcycles exhibition which will allow to also visit the nautical exhibition with a single ticket. Obviously we are only in the fourth year and to obtain results we are thinking of other future initiatives”.

News and awards

The positive balance of the Salone Nautico di Bologna 2023 is certainly supported by the quality of the exhibition with an important participation of the shipyards of Sicily and Campania, which make up the lion’s share.
Gozzi, small boats and dinghies are in fact the characteristic productions of these regions which, due to quality and creativity, are the leaders of the production chain between 5 and 10 metres. There is no shortage of construction sites in other regions. Like the Tuscan Catarsi Mare, the Lazio Buonomo Marine, the Emilian Justeker, the Calabrian Prua al Vento and the Marche Nautica Latino.
Among the novelties of Almarine, the 911 tea inflatable boat, 9 meters and 11 centimeters long and 3.11 wide, designed by the Inzerillo & Albeggiani Yacht Design studio. Lda Italmar presented the Cabin 24 boat, which has its strengths in the optimization of space and volumes. The Campania shipyard Italiamarine exhibits 13 models, from the 22-foot entry level to the 38-foot flagship, with the new Ponza 36 WA.
At the Salone Nautico di Bologna 2023 there will also be news in the gozzo category. Among the most interesting proposals is Cantiere Tirrenia of Pozzuoli present with the 28 Viveur Cabin, a planing gozzo with a fiberglass hull that reaches a maximum speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 27. Also among the premieres in Bologna is the Positano 28 Sole from the Esposito Mare shipyard, a planing vessel 8.60 meters long and 2.90 meters wide.
Furthermore, on Thursday 26 October in the meeting area of pavilion 19, the 2023 Blue Award ceremony will take place, which rewards nautical players, from shipyards to professional figures, from institutions to personalities who have distinguished themselves for their support to the supply chain. Among these also the mayor of Bologna, Matteo Lepore.
