HostMilano international 2023 will open its doors on 13 October and will end on Tuesday 17 October at Fieramilano Rho. The 43rd edition presents numbers comparable to 2019, reconfirming itself as the global B2B platform of reference for all professional hospitality, away-from-home, retail and contract sectors.
There are more than 2,100 exhibitors, of which 40% come from 50 countries. In addition to Italy, the top five countries by number of exhibitors include Germany, Spain, France and the United States. Followed by Switzerland, the Netherlands and Portugal, to which are added Turkey and China. Companies also see HostMilano international 2023 as an opportunity to do business “world by world” thanks to the presence of over 700 highly profiled top buyers from 75 countries from all continents.
An important and strategic sector. According to data from Export Planning, global trade of the supply chains represented at the fair reached a new high in 2022, equal to 178.3 billion euros, significantly higher than the pre-pandemic one. Food service equipment in the strict sense is estimated by Future Market Insights at around 44 billion dollars (76 billion in 2032, +5.6% on average) of which Made in Italy contributes more than 10% (4.6 billion euro, given by the ANIMA Assofoodtec Research Office).

Innovation rewarded

At HostMilano international 2023 it will be possible to both discover and delve into the most interesting trends, with contributions from starred chefs, pastry chefs, mixologists and baristas, as well as experts and academics.
Among the new features this year is the debut of ChocolateCulture@Host23, the first B2B event dedicated to chocolate culture with a team of experts led by maître chocolatier Davide Comaschi.
“Luxury Pastry in the World” also returns, curated by Iginio Massari who will host the top pastry chefs Marta Boccanera, Fabrizio Galla, Vincenzo Santoro, Bilena Settepani and Felice Venanzi.
Furthermore, during the first day of HostMilano international 2023, the Smart Label – Host Innovation Award ceremony will take place in collaboration with POLI.design and with the patronage of ADI – Association for Industrial Design. It will be possible to “touch” the 26 award-winning products, chosen from 157 nominations arriving not only from Italy but also from abroad.
Still on the subject of design in collaboration with POLI.design, also a premiere for the Disign Talks meetings, where we will talk about hospitality and welcome towards a new tourism.
