63a Salone Nautico Internazionale, from 21 to 26 September in Genoa, immediately recorded important numbers.
Starting from the 1,043 brands on display, with an increase of 4.5% compared to 2022, a total of boats that well exceeded 1,000 units – from 2 to 40 meters in length – with 143 more berths in the water thanks to opening of new channels. 184 new products on display and premiere, representing +9.5% on last year.

The forecasts for the sector are good

Organized by Confindustria Nautica and its subsidiary I Saloni Nautici, the 63a Salone Nautico Internazionale interprets and represents the pleasure boating industry, a sector that continues to grow, as recalled by Saverio Cecchi, president of Confindustria Nautica with forecasts that speak of a exceeding 7 billion in turnover for the sector and exports that generate record numbers.
“The Nautico was the first show, then followed by the others. It acted as a driving force for the international growth of the Italian shipyards that had been operating since the 1950s and accompanied them to the top of world production. He never missed his appointment, not even in the Covid storm. With the completion of the renovation works on the Waterfront, of which we are already seeing the first important results this year, it will be a platform for business, for the sector and everything that revolves around it, unique in the world”, underlined Cecchi again.

A sustainable future development

The doors of the 63rd edition opened on Thursday 21 September with the inaugural conference “Nautical Industry. The history of the future” with institutional presences such as the president of Confindustria, Carlo Bonomi, and corporate representatives.

Because the 63a Salone Nautico Internazionale also represents an important industrial policy tool for Confindustria Nautica, a place for discussion on strategic issues for consolidating the competitiveness of the national industry and for projection towards sustainable future development. Marina Stella, general director of Confindustria Nautica: “The event is therefore a training container with the Forum23 conference program which this year boasts the patronage of the European Commission. As well as a vehicle to affirm Made in Italy with the “Italian StartUp” project created in collaboration with ICE Agenzia”.
