Pitti Immagine Filati 93 returns to the Fortezza Da Basso in Florence from 28 to 30 June. Appointment with the collections of the main Italian and international spinning mills and future trends told.
Inside it will be possible to discover the yarns for autumn/winter 2024-25, presented by the 120 brands that will present their collections.
There will be 87 exhibitors in the Yarn area. Of these, 19 came from abroad (United Kingdom, Japan, Peru, China, Ireland, Turkey, Mauritius, Romania, Egypt, South Africa, New Zealand). Again 19 exhibitors in the CustomEasy area, one of which from abroad, to be precise from Japan. Finally, 14 exhibitors within the KnitClub area, one of which is foreign, arriving from Hong-Kong.
Playing is the watchword
Also for this event the common thread will be the 2023 theme “Pitti Games”, which characterizes the style and mood of the Pitti Immagine summer shows.
For Pitti Immagine Filati 93 the theme takes on a conceptual declination. The game of choice is that of cards: the hands of a magician twirl the deck evoking – through movement: the thread, the structure, the mesh. The texture of the papers intertwines and accords with the gestures of a dancer whose performance, filmed in slow motion, becomes a texture as if by magic.
The domino declines the concept of the main theme even if inclusively all the games will be represented in the next trends. A single theme with many souls, as inclusive as the game itself that has no class, age, extraction or limits.
Among the novelties of Pitti Immagine Filati 93 the Spazio Ricerca, dedicated to the collections for autumn/winter 2024-2025, curated as in every edition by Angelo Figus and Nicola Miller and the Customeasy section, under the creative direction of Maurizio Brocchetto.
The latter is a unique project, designed to explore the different aspects of customization and to offer the visitor an ever wider and more contemporary exhibition path where the different skills in the textile field are integrated.
At the same time Vintage Selection
Vintage Selection will also take place in conjunction with the fair, a reference event for vintage clothing, accessories and design objects.
The event will take place on the same days as the show, choosing the location of the Ghiaia Pavilion, also in the Fortezza da Basso.
