The Pitti Uomo 2023 edition, the summer edition of the event dedicated to contemporary and international men’s fashion, which took place from 13 to 16 June in the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, has come to an end.
An exhibition that, as always, offered new content and collaborations and a well-structured calendar of events and international launches. A schedule that had at the center the most interesting and engaging inputs from the main fashion scenes, not only national ones..
Among the novelties for June, the special fashion show scheduled for the afternoon of 15 June at the recently inaugurated “Fendi Factory”, the center of excellence of the maison, located in Capannuccia, in the municipality of Bagno a Ripoli (FI).
The ability to renew
The first final turnout data record a +6% of Italian buyers, the increase of foreign ones even greater, +24% compared to June 2022. Numbers, as recalled by Raffaello Napoleone, CEO of Pitti Immagine, “first of all reward the ‘commitment and the ability to renew itself shown by the 825 exhibitors of this event, and confirm the show’s recovery path, which is gradually returning to its pre-crisis dimensions’.
Confirming this also the many initiatives and events that took place in the Tuscan capital during Pitti Uomo 2023 edition, which were more than 110.
Not only growth in numbers, but also in quality, especially of buyers. “At the Fortezza we saw the best, motivated and willing to bring customers back to their shops and department stores. The central element of the 104th edition, beyond the consolidation of the European data, is the return in strength of the Asian operators, which overall should reach 700 presences. Not only the three market champions – mainland China, South Korea and Japan – but also China Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, even India and Pakistan”
Merit, as Napoleone underlined, also goes to the ICE Agency, which has made it possible to strengthen the incoming program of buyers and media from abroad by providing intelligence aid on new markets.
An increasingly international event
