This year, in addition to the edition in Naples (28 April – 1 May), for the first time, Comicon Bergamo 2023 will also arrive in Bergamo from 23 to 25 June, as part of the official program of the Italian Capital of Culture 2023. In partnership with Promoberg/Fiera di Bergamo, the first edition of the pop culture festival will present a wide range of exhibitions, distributed between the exhibition complex and the cities of Bergamo and Brescia, special events and many guests.
The Italian launch of Final Fantasy XVI
Among the main exhibitions organized during the three days, it should be mentioned, at the Ex Chiesa della Maddalena in Bergamo until 10 September, “Milo Manara: Artist’s Lives – From Caravaggio to Fellini”, part of the program of activities of Bergamo Brescia Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2023. The exhibition during Comicon Bergamo 2023 will in fact focus on the personalities of Caravaggio, Paolo Veronese, Picasso, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Federico Fellini, as interpreted and narrated by Manara.
Instead, to celebrate the release of Final Fantasy XVI (available from June 22nd), the standalone chapter of one of the most popular videogame sagas that now includes Italian dubbing for the first time for the franchise, there will be a special panel on June 24th . In addition to the presence of the game’s Italian voice actors, there will be many authors and guests who will take turns in this first edition of the event. From Giorgio Cavazzano to Sio, Tanino Liberatore, Milo Manara, Matteo De Longis, Cristina D’Avena who will perform in concert on the main stage.
Passion for K-Pop
Comicon Bergamo 2023 www.comicon.it is link with Asian music also remains alive in the Bergamo edition, with the Japanese singer Mion di lei at her first concert in Italy. Furthermore, in 2024 the festival will host the finals of the Italian solo dance championship K-Pop Crew Battle Festival, and during the 2023 edition the selection circuit will be inaugurated, with the first stage of the regionals of this increasingly well-known competition.
From one of the largest private collections in the world dedicated to Sherlock Holmes, an extraordinary exhibition of editorial products and period promotional material arrives in Bergamo, with several unique memorabilia. Like the posters of films and theater performances from the beginning of the twentieth century to the post-war period, from all over the world. And then props, photographs, first editions of Italian and foreign books and magazines. There will be some board games dedicated to the character. A journey into the representation of the imagination of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his most famous character, curated by Gabriele Mazzoni with the event team.
