Cesena Fiera 2022 closed with yet another positive result. Indeed, on 26 May the management year for 2022 was unanimously approved. Revenues exceeded 6 million euros, with numbers once again exceeding pre-Covid levels (5.3 million). Numbers that confirm the good health of a company that has brilliantly overcome the critical period of the sector. In this context, the net operating profit was 507 thousand euros, with an Ebitda (gross operating margin) of 930 thousand euros.
On balance, since the move to Rimini of Macfrut, a fair dedicated to fruit and vegetables, the company’s balance sheet has seen an increase of 60%, going from 3.8 million in 2015 to over 6 million last year. A growth also accompanied by the net profit that went from 123 million in 2015 to 507 in 2022.
The role of the Congress Center
The cornerstone of the growth path was, in fact, the international fruit and vegetable showcase, which generates 80% of the turnover and contribution margin of Cesena Fiera 2022.
At the same time, the local soul developed through a series of events that enlivened the Pievesestina exhibition halls. Like the monthly appointment “Once upon a time there was the Antiques”, with also two special dates dedicated to the ancient book (February and November); the return of Ruotando, after 3 years of stoppage due to the pandemic, which makes Cesena the capital of two and four wheels for two days. Factor R, the Forum of the Romagna economy, and the Citadel of sport that involves various sports clubs in the area also did well.
To all that is Cesena Fiera 2022 must be added all the activity of the Congress Center which resumed at full capacity especially in the second half of 2022, and the events organized by third parties in the pavilions (Romagna Winner, Bassotto World Championship, Cesena in Bolla, to mention the main).
The organization of “Cesena in Fiera” in the historic center is also responsible for the exhibition, which has recorded excellent results.
Renzo Piraccini still president
In terms of investments, the construction of a new photovoltaic system is planned to make the company independent from an energy point of view. The plant will be positioned on part of the roofs with entry into operation towards the end of this year.
The Assembly also proceeded to renew the offices, reconfirming Renzo Piraccini as president and Catia Guerrini as vice president.
