The next Cersaie 2023, scheduled in Bologna from 25 to 29 September, was presented to the press. On this occasion, after expressing condolences for the victims of the flood in Emilia-Romagna, and closeness to industrialists and workers, the president of Confindustria Ceramica, Giovanni Savorani, recalled that in 2022 the entire ceramic industry exceeded 8 billion euros in turnover with strong growth. Again in his speech, he noted how the first few months of this year recorded a drop in turnover of around 10%.
The numbers of the 2023 edition
And it is precisely in times of difficulty that the fairs represent an opportunity for the entire local economic fabric to restart, as underlined by Gianpiero Calzolari, president of BolognaFiere. And Cersaie 2023 represents the leading trade fair for the ceramic sector and the local area.
Regarding the 40th edition of the fair, Emilio Mussini, vice president of Confindustria Ceramica, illustrated some numbers: “4 months after the opening, we can say that it will be a sold out edition. In the 15 pavilions available this year which have a total area of 145,000 square meters fully occupied, we register a few thousand square meters more than in 2022”. Exhibitors also grew by a few percentage points compared to 624 last year. The ceramic companies present are close to 57% of the total, while bathroom furnishings represent 15%. The foreign component is also important, in the order of 40%, which once again confirms the international nature of Cersaie 2023 www.cersaie.it.
Some preview
On the initiatives aimed at celebrating the fortieth anniversary of Cersaie, Emilio Mussini illustrated the exhibition itinerary at the fair made up of 5 stations, the first of which, at the Centro Servizi, will represent a teaser of the remaining 4 located in Gallery 21/22, two in Gallery 25 /25 and the last one in the Mall in pavilion 37.
Each of them is made up of graphics that represent products and personalities of the reference decade, with one or more videos of product application, historical context and events at the fair and with music of the time.
In April, Cersaie 2023 launched a campaign on its social accounts of Linkedin, Instagram and Facebook in the ten most important markets for ceramics and bathroom furnishings, represented, in addition to Italy, by France and Germany, Switzerland and Austria, the Netherlands and Belgium , Great Britain, the United States and Canada. A communication campaign that involves all the exhibitors, based on the re-proposition of products, projects and events which, over the course of four decades, have brought about significant discontinuities. Without forgetting, with an eye to the future, the new evolutions and applications of the ceramic product.
