The 22nd edition of Lamiera Milano 2023, from Wednesday 10 to Saturday 13 May at fieramilano Rho, closed on a positive note.
The only exhibition appointment in Italy dedicated exclusively to the sector, the event has become over the years one of the most important in the international panorama of sector events, also thanks to the move from Bologna to Milan in 2017.
The protagonists of the exhibition dedicated to technologies for cutting, forming and processing sheet metal, pipes and profiles, which occupied a total area of 40,000 square meters, were around 400 companies, 27% foreign, representing 22 countries.
Back to the traditional positioning
Promoted by Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre, which brings together the Italian manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation, and organized by Ceu-Centro Esposizioni Ucimu, Lamiera Milano 2023 is back, exceptionally, one year after the previous edition, postponed by 12 months due to the emergency.
To recover the traditional positioning in odd years, the event did not respect the traditional biennial that distinguishes it, despite this, the results obtained, both in terms of exhibitors and visits, are more than satisfactory.
Barbara Colombo, president of Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre, is very satisfied with the results obtained because the event, despite taking place just 12 months after the previous one, “not only confirmed the results of the last edition but, for some indicators, did even better ”.
Lamiera Milano 2023: physical and digital event
The entries of professional operators registered in the 4 days of the fair were around 19,000. The more than 4,000 operators from Made in Steel (which took place partially concurrently in the adjacent pavilions) who expressed their interest in also visiting Lamiera Milano 2023 must be added to the total count.
The agreement signed with Made in Steel which provided for the free passage from one event to another has therefore produced very interesting results.
Compared to the total number of visitors, 7.5% came from abroad representing 67 nations.
The most numerous delegations came from Albania, Austria, China, Croatia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Holland, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, Hungary.
In the corridors of pavilions 13 and 15 of Lamiera Milano 2023 www.lamiera.net, among the many visitors, there were also around fifty foreign operators from Egypt, India, Morocco, Mexico, the Czech Republic, Turkey, the USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, invited part of the incoming initiative organized by Ucimu in collaboration with MAECI and ICE-Agency.
To these was added an autonomous delegation of over 30 Turkish users from the Manisa area. ICE-Agenzia also oversaw the creation of the area dedicated to Start-ups.
The interest of the manufacturing world in the event is also measured by the lively activity on digital channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube). The Lamiera Milano 2023 social community today has 7,680 registered followers.
The next edition is scheduled from 7 to 10 May 2025.
