The appointment with WMF 2023 – WeMakeFuture, dedicated to the world of technological and digital innovation, returns from 15 to 17 June at the Rimini Fair. The 2023 edition will bring to Rimini the main national and international players, startups and investors, institutions, universities and non-profit organizations in the sector.
The 2023 edition of the fair, conceived and produced by Search On Media Group, expects over 60,000 visitors from all over the world, more than 1,000 speakers and guests from all over the world, 1,300 startups and investors, over 90 internships.
On display startups from all over the world
The World Startup Fest is also back as part of the event, an international reference for startups, scaleups and investors. The agenda is full of events, initiatives and B2B meetings to accelerate business matching between startups and global open innovation players, such as investors, VCs, corporates and business angels.
The WMF 2023 events will occupy an entire pavilion of the Rimini Fair. Among the activities aimed at the world of innovative entrepreneurship, the Startup District area will return, dedicated to the world of Startups and the Startup Stage, which will see presentations and pitches of innovative Italian and international startups alternate.
The final of the Startup Competition, the main international competition for startups, is also scheduled on the mainstage.
More than 1,000 startups from all over the world are expected during the three days, who will present their innovative projects and services to a highly profiled audience. The provenance in this edition is extremely varied. In fact, there will be realities arriving from Egypt, Germany, Spain, Poland, UK, Japan and the United States. Delegations of foreign startups from the Czech Republic, Albania, Lithuania, Germany and Greece will also come to Rimini, selected during the stages of the International Roadshow. The latter is the project of WMF 2023 https://www.wemakefuture.it which has as its objective the construction of an ecosystem of innovative and sustainable entrepreneurship at a global level and the generation of a flow of ideas and projects of an international nature between Italy and the world.
Delegations are also expected from Switzerland, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Palestine and Jordan and startup delegations from Italian territories such as Matera, Civita di Bagnoregio and Taranto, destinations involved in the WMF Italian Roadshow.
The Startup Competition call
To date, a preview of 120 startups among the over 200 that will pitch during the event, selected by the Startup Competition call, has been presented. The focus of the startup pitches will be the 12 challenges of the future identified by WMF 2023 for the creation of a shared, inclusive and eco-sustainable tomorrow. The Startup Competition will be held, as usual, on the WMF Mainstage and will be conducted by Cosmano Lombardo, founder and CEO of Search On Media Group, together with Diletta Leotta.
During the event, the 6 finalist startups will compete, called to present their innovative product or service through a pitch competition, in front of an international audience made up of players in the innovation ecosystem.
