Everything is ready for Extracon 2023 which is preparing to open the doors of the Pordenone exhibition center from 20 to 21 May. In fact, the new comics and pop culture fair makes its debut over the weekend with the organization of Pordenone Fiere in synergy with Centro Fiera Montichiari.
An event born out of the experience of Gardacon, one of the leading sector reviews in Northern Italy, with the aim of replicating its success, creating a new point of reference for fans of comics and games from all over the North-East.
A party full of fun
The two days of Extracon 2023 feature many scheduled activities. Like the retrogaming area, one of the largest in Europe, which will host about 100 retro consoles and 100 original arcade cabinets, in free to play mode. Here it will be possible to find the best arcade games, from Pac Man and Space Invaders to Outrun and Metal Slug.
Alongside the classic coin ops, there is also the Gamers Arena, with countless consoles and computers, tournaments for the most popular video games, virtual reality and driving simulators.
Space for shopping
In addition to the initiatives and special areas, there will also be plenty of space for the market exhibition of comics, gadgets, action figures, manga and accessories for cosplayers, which will welcome dozens and dozens of exhibitors from all over Italy, for a “nerd-style” shopping experience.
With an eye to the more creative aspects and artistic implications of this world, Extracon 2023 will host more than twenty authors at work live. Visitors can ask them for a sketch, a unique souvenir of the event.
On the comics stage and on the pop stage, meetings dedicated to comics, TV series, science fiction cinema and the new frontiers of artificial intelligence will take place. An articulated perspective full of cultural cues to which the presence of a PAFF stand also contributes! International Museum of Comic Art, Pordenone excellence on an international level.
Appointments for all tastes
To complete the offer of Extracon 2023 www.extracon.eu a schedule of about 100 events, which will alternate on the six stages animated by shows and exhibitions. Like the ring dedicated to crossover wrestling, with a roster of athletes dressed as comic and cartoon characters. Another stage will be entirely dedicated to K-Pop and its choreography, while the area curated by Epicos will see cosplayers parade during the cosplay competitions. An authentic journey into the most famous worlds of fantasy, for all young fans who will finally be able to “meet” their animated heroes in the flesh.
While on May 21 Chef Hiro, ambassador of Japanese cuisine in Italy, will prepare live a dish very dear to all fans of anime and manga. Finally, great expectations for Giorgio Vanni, the interpreter of the acronyms of Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece and Pokémon.
