2023 Milan Games Week & Cartoomics changes and transforms into MGWCMX, the event “designed” on generation Z. The dates to mark on the calendar are 24, 25 and 26 November, while the occupied pavilions of Fieramilano Rho will be 9, 11, 13 and 15.
Pop culture has become a universal common denominator, a point of contact that manages to unite an increasingly wide variety of people without any discrimination. It is the manifesto of a present that lives projected into a future in the making, as in an eternal “upload” of stimuli, experiences, stories and connections.
Tom Jilesen signs the 2023 visual
This is the spirit of the 2023 Milan Games Week & Cartoomics dedicated to video games, esports, board games, comics, manga and the world of animation. This is the vision that inspired the artist, illustrator and animator of the entertainment industry Tom Jilesen, for the creation of the visual of the 2023 edition. A vortex of interconnected individuals and defined solely by their passions that points to a free and full of opportunities.
To better accompany the message enclosed in the illustration and celebrate the success achieved with the 2022 edition, the event changes its look and projects itself into tomorrow, entrusting its image to the Sicilian graphic designer Camara. Founder together with RSH of the multidisciplinary collective Câimbra, he created a graphical representation of the MGW + CMX contractions. A graphic that depicts the aerial evolutions of a shinobi, a Japanese character known for agility and speed and that describes the dynamism of this increasingly avant-garde project.
