The first edition of the 1th International Hardware Fair Italy will take place from 5 to 6 May at the Bergamo Fair. Organized by Koelnmesse Italia on the model of Eisenwarenmesse which is held once a year in Cologne, Germany, the new event has over 270 confirmed exhibitors just a few weeks after its debut.
A result that suggests that the two pavilions that will host the exhibition will be sold out.
The event is dedicated to the entire world of hardware, construction, DIY, outdoor and gardening. Added to this are also security, paints and colors, electricity and industrial supplies.
The synergy with Eisenwarenmesse, considered the largest trade fair in the world, is the basis of the positive response from companies to the new event, both in Italy and in Europe. A success that aims to make the fair the new Italian “house” of hardware, complementary to the German event, in odd years.
At the 1th International Hardware Fair Italy the participation of exhibitors from abroad is also very interesting, including collective and individual exhibitors, arriving from 19 countries. In addition to Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Greece, Holland, Slovenia, UK, Norway, Australia, Poland, Turkey, Bulgaria, India, Taiwan, China and the USA.
A review for the technical sector
“We have been collecting precise signals from the Italian and European markets for some time to organize an event dedicated to the world of hardware, construction and DIY which is not yet present in Italy – commented Thomas Rosolia, managing director of the Italian branch of Koelnmesse -. We have therefore chosen to take the field and put all our experience as trade fair organizers into a review that responds to the real needs of the technical sector. Also thanks to the support of the numerous European and Italian associations, we will continue along the path we have taken so that the 1th International Hardware Fair Italy www.hardwarefair-italy.com establishes itself as the ideal platform for the most representative hardware, DIY, garden & outdoor and building sectors in Italy for the European market”.
Partnerships and associations
The partnership agreement signed with EDRA/GHIN represents a first step towards establishing the event at a European level. In fact, EDRA/GHIN represents shops and retailers in the DIY and home improvement sector at a global level, both for proximity shops and large retailers, up to digital platforms.
Even the main associations in the various sectors, over 20 between Italian and European, have confirmed their support for the 1th International Hardware Fair Italy, and their collaboration. These include ZHH, the Professional Association for the Hardware Specialized Trade; FWI, the Association of Tool Manufacturers in Germany; Assofermet Ferramenta, the Association of hardware distributors.
Even at the regional level, the response was lively, obtaining the collaboration of entities strongly rooted in the territory including Ance Bergamo, Confartigianato Imprese Bergamo, Confindustria Bergamo and, in particular, Ascom Confcommercio Bergamo, which includes a fabric of hardware companies among the most large in Italy.
