On March 30, the Cdepe 2023 Chengdu International Environmental Protection Expo was inaugurated in China, which will end on April 1. At the 17th edition of the event, a pavilion will be reserved for Italian SMEs specialized in the field of environmental protection, renewable energy and the circular economy.
As recalled by Lorenzo Cagnoni, president of IEG-Italian Exhibition Group, the importance of this exhibition is that of being the first large-scale exhibition dedicated to the theme of environmental protection in western China.
“With a surface area of 25,000 square meters and 360 companies – underlined the CEO of IEG, Corrado Peraboni – Cdepe 2023 surpasses the exhibitors of 2019 and shows the positive rebound of the environmental protection industry in western China open to technological exchange with the Italy. Once again, at IEG we are applying the strategy of strengthening companies, supporting them on foreign markets for a virtuous economic return on trade fairs and in our territories”.
Among the most important trade fairs in the Chinese environmental protection sector, it will take place at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center, organized by IEG, also organizer of Ecomondo and K.EY, and China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, with the support of Sichuan Environmental Protection Industry and Europe China Environmental Exhibitions.

Cdepe 2023: the nine Italians present

The nine Italian companies present at the Chengdu expo are SMEs with technological solutions that cover various fields of the circular economy.
From water pollution control to air pollution prevention and mitigation, from environmental monitoring and solid waste treatment, to energy saving and new energies, from environmental services and green packaging to certifications.
In more detail, the companies are the Lombards Air Clean, Megasystem and Sebigas Renewable Energy, the Emilian Compopack and Hydro Italia. And again: Labio Test, Mold, Systea and Rina Consulting.
Innovative realities that animate the Italian Pavilion of Cdepe 2023 www.cdepe.com created thanks to the partnership with ICE Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
ICE Agency, present in China with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, will open a fifth office in Chengdu, in close coordination with the Italian Consulate in Chongqing. The objective is to develop and enhance the economic and commercial relations between Italy and China, with particular reference to the Province of Sichuan and the regions of South West China.
The b2b2g nature of the Chinese event will bring together Italian companies with an audience of users of environmental technologies both among businesses and among local institutions in the province of Sichuan, which has over 80 million inhabitants.
