
The 54th edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2023, the B2B event reserved for the cosmetics industry, closed on 20 March. Over 250,000 professionals present, from 153 countries, who have filled the corridors of the exhibition center since 16 March to discover the latest news for the sector.
An event that reconfirms itself as a world showcase of reference for the industry, as recalled by Gianpiero Calzolari, president of BolognaFiere.
In fact, key players from the main markets were present, over 2,984 exhibitors, up by 11% compared to 2022, from 64 countries and 29 national collectives. Numbers that arise from the work “done in recent years to strengthen the international profile and prestige of the event, thanks to the collaboration with Cosmetica Italia and the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ICE, the agency for promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies”.
Networking and business
The Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2023 match-making platform www.cosmoprof.com made it possible to manage the presence of buyers arriving from over 50 European and non-European countries. Stakeholder registrations from North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania are growing.
The return of operators from China and Taiwan also allowed the companies and producers present to recover projects and collaborations for opportunities in markets that continue to be a fundamental development asset.
In addition to the exhibition part – full of novelties and inspirations – there is also great interest in the initiatives organized during the event.
These include the Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2023 & Cosmopack Awards, which once again decreed the best beauty products for the coming months, attracting the curiosity of insiders. Over 1,000 attended the award ceremony, in addition to the many who visited the installation at the Service Centre.
The areas dedicated to CosmoTrends and CosmoVision, a multi-sensory journey that revealed the future evolution of the beauty industry, also aroused a lot of interest. The projects were created in collaboration with the international agency Beautystreams.
The importance of training
As regards the part of conferences and meetings, there were many participants in the 12 CosmoTalks, scheduled from Thursday to Saturday. Here it was possible to follow analyzes and round tables in the presence of international managers and experts.
Also very popular at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2023 are the appointments dedicated to body techniques of the World Massage Meeting, from Friday to Monday, and the in-depth and training sessions with the “gurus” of Cosmo Onstage, which on Sunday and Monday involved the operators by presenting the more current topics for the professional sector.
