The 61st edition of the 2023 Salone del Mobile .Milano returns to Fieramilano Rho from 18 to 23 April. A stage of international importance is therefore back, which this year accelerates the transformation process of the event by innovating by now consolidated formulas. An event that is divided into several events: the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, Workplace3.0, S.Project, Euroluce and the SaloneSatellite.
Among the main innovations, a single exhibition level, which will see the exhibitors of the upper pavilions (8-12, 16-20) relocated to the lower ones to simplify, improve and enhance the fruition and visit experience. We then move on to the new layout of the Euroluce biennial, which, from a centric stand, will bring man and the use of the event back to the centre. And this thanks to a circular route that improves usability through interdisciplinary and experiential contents, which will range from architecture to art with exhibitions, talks, workshops, site-specific installations.
2023 Salone del Mobile: redesigned paths
This is the comment of the president Maria Porro: “We have collected the needs of those who organize and experience the show, exhibitors and visitors, with more than 2,300 interviews and thematic working groups. Thus was born the idea of an exhibition on one level to facilitate flows and we did an almost “urban planning” job on the internal design of the pavilions. Starting from Euroluce, we have redesigned the itineraries by integrating the spaces of the companies with interdisciplinary cultural contents concerning the relationship between light, architecture, art and science. A metamorphosis that in the future will affect the entire exhibition which has the ambition to contribute to redesigning the exhibition model”.
Combination of digital and real
The events of 2023 Salone del Mobile . Milan https://www.salonemilano.it/it will gather a total of 1,962 exhibitors, of which over 550 are young talents under 35 and 27 are design schools.
All the halls and events have been renewed in the distribution and layout of the spaces with the presence of aesthetic and cultural itineraries, new experiences, rest and relaxation areas but also calls-to-action: to participate in conferences and vertical workshops, visit exhibitions themes and bookshops and live the experience of site specific installations.
One of the keys to reading the next edition will be the combination of digital and real. The activity of the digital platform will intensify before, during and after the days of the fair also thanks to the collaboration with the national and international publications of the sector and with YesMilano, the official promotion agency of the city of Milan.
New digital editorial and service projects will be activated on the various touch points – website, newsletter, app, and social networks. Like the Unboxing format, dedicated to previews of the exhibiting companies’ products. While White Paper consists of a series of insights by international journalists and a new season of podcasts, which will tell the protagonists of the Milanese event.
The official app of the 2023 Salone del Mobile .Milano will be updated with new functions and services, including augmented reality and wayfinding.
