Two months after the inauguration, Macfrut Rimini 2023, scheduled from 3 to 5 May at the Rimini Expo Centre, is preparing for a record-breaking edition.
This is confirmed by two figures: +25% of exhibition areas and +50% of international companies, compared to the 2022 edition.
The reason for this exploit lies above all in the format, which makes this 40th edition unique in the international trade fair panorama, capable of representing the entire supply chain. In addition, the exhibition part is accompanied by a busy calendar of specialized events and dynamic areas dedicated to innovation.
Macfrut Rimini 2023, a reference point for professionals in the fruit and vegetable sector in Italy and abroad, is structured as a vertical fair that represents the supply chain across 9 sectors. That is Production and Commerce, Machinery and Plants, Materials and Packaging, Cultivation Machinery, Greenhouses and Irrigation, Spices and Medicinal Herbs, Nurseries and Seeds, Biosolutions, Logistics and Services.
Macfrut Rimini 2023: the thematic halls are expanding
The 25% increase in exhibition spaces allows this year’s event to surpass the 2019 edition – the last of the pre-pandemic era – so much so that for the first time it will also affect the pavilions in the western area of the exhibition center .
An expansion favored both by the increase in exhibitors and by the growth of the thematic areas. Starting from the pre-collection which will have two entire pavilions dedicated to novelties in terms of Vivaismo, Blueberry, Acquacampus, to which are added the thematic halls Spices and Officinal Herbs and Biosolutions.
Macfrut Rimini 2023: the return of China
The second growth asset is strong international growth (50%). With some foreign areas in considerable expansion, such as South America, to which the focus of the 2023 edition of the fair will be dedicated. And then North Africa with an imposing presence of Egypt, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. After a few years of absence, China has also made a comeback with about thirty exhibitors.
The role of the ICE-Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, together with numerous bodies and institutions, was fundamental in this process, which allowed the creation of 20 international presentations in the presence of the three continents.
