The entire professional beekeeping supply chain will be at ApiMell 2023, scheduled at Piacenza Expo from 3 to 5 March.

This edition will see more than 120 direct exhibitors coming not only from Italy, but from all over Europe and Turkey.
The main task of the fair is to promote innovations in the sector and offer an authoritative venue for getting information, updating and seizing opportunities for growth.
The three days of ApiMell 2023 will be a  weekend where the keywords will be sustainability, environment, organic farming and quality. All combined with smart technologies to support the production phases.
There will also be conferences and assemblies that have always been the focal point of attraction for beekeepers who will deal with the most topical issues such as energy costs and those of raw materials.

The European Honey Directive

The European Union, according to data from the Agriculture Commission, produces about 230,000 tons of honey. Europe is the world’s second largest producer with a total of around 17.5 million beehives and over 650,000 beekeepers.
A sector also of great importance for agriculture because it is responsible for 80% of the pollination of agricultural products (EU Commission). Various situations arise from the European Honey Directive that need to be brought to the attention of all the entities involved. Of particular importance therefore at ApiMell 2023 www.apimell.it the catalog of tenders and resources available to support investments by farms and professional operators. An additional stimulus to the exhibitor market after years of standstill due to the Covid emergency and the scarce honey production in the face of growing demand.

Tastings and sales

As a corollary of the technological part, there will be space for processors with beehive products, tastings of polyflora honeys, monoflora honeys, typical and precious honeys, pollen, propolis, beeswax, royal jelly, herbal and cosmetic products.

To complete the ApiMell 2023 event the two collateral and complementary salons Seminat www.seminat.it and the food and wine festival Buon Vivere www.buonvivere.it.
The first is an exhibition-market dedicated to lovers of gardening, floriculture and horticulture, enriched by a series of thematic seminars and courses in various techniques.
The second exhibition is an appointment with typical quality products that will see the participation of exhibitors from all Italian regions. The aim is to enhance, disseminate and promote the cultures that animate the Italian regions.
