
The February editions of the 2023 fashion sector recorded a good success in this first glimpse of 2023.
Excellent numbers for Micam Milano https://themicam.com/, Mipel https://mipel.com/, TheOneMilano https://www.theonemilano.com/it/ and HoMi Fashion&Jewels https://www.homifashionjewels.com/ the events dedicated to fashion and accessories which concluded between 22 and 23 February at Fieramilano Rho.
In particular, the events intercepted the dynamism of the demand from both Italian and foreign buyers, bearing witness to the consolidation of the recovery in the reference sectors.
More than 1,800 exhibiting companies were in the spotlight, meeting 48,276 professional visitors, +25% compared to the previous edition.
Fashion sector 2023: the response of foreign buyers
About half of the buyers come from abroad, in particular from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Greece and Spain. The results recorded by more distant countries such as South Korea, Japan and Kazakhstan are also very good.
The presence of government representatives and local institutions certifies the centrality and importance of these events. To recall, in particular, the importance of creating a system between the various sectors represented at the fair, the inimitable nature of Made in Italy, the centrality of the role of training in guaranteeing competitiveness.
The importance of training
Alongside the four events of the 2023 fashion sector, numerous in-depth appointments dealt with the most current topics for the sector such as sustainability, innovation and trends.
The role of training was also important and was also at the center of the event “Training, orientation, certification of skills: Confindustria Moda, Rete TAM and Unioncamere for the growth of talents”. The meeting, which is part of a broad training course carried out by the trade associations confederated in Confindustria Moda, aimed at enhancing the skills and training and work experiences of the students.
Fashion sector 2023: the next dates
Ample space was also given to young talents from all over the world through ad hoc projects. The new generation designers have thus demonstrated their talent, tracing a path made of innovation, creativity and technology that will characterize the protagonist sectors of the four events in the future.
Once this edition is closed, we are already looking forward to the next one. Micam Milano, Mipel and TheOneMilano will be held from 17 to 20 September 2023, while HoMi Fashion&Jewels will take place from 15 to 18 September, again at Fieramilano Rho.
