
The 46th edition of Arte Fiera Bologna ended on 5 February at BolognaFiere. The first fair of the year in Italy and the only one to take place in the Bologna exhibition center at the beginning of February, the event reaches its 46th edition.
An event that returns to its traditional location – pavilions 25 and 26 of BolognaFiere – with the entrance of the Constitution, the door par excellence of the district towards the city centre.
The event saw the presence of 50 thousand visitors, in line with the pre-Covid editions and a clear recovery compared to the 2022 edition.
The turnout of the national and international public of collectors and VIPs was excellent, the result of a careful selection and invitation campaign, supported by massive media and social coverage.
The return to the traditional dates and the historic pavilions of the 46th Arte Fiera Bologna, the new governance with the collector Enea Righi as managing director supported by the artistic director Simone Menegoi were elements that contributed to the success of the fair. A good result, also demonstrated by the enthusiasm of the gallery owners, who responded to the input of the artistic direction with various exhibition projects and substantial sales recorded in all sections from day one.

In addition to the exhibition quality of both pavilions of https://www.artefiera.it/home/776.html and of the Main Section, excellent results also for the curated sections, with an ever greater attention to Painting XXI, always entrusted to the critic Davide Ferri, and Photography and moving images, curated for the first time by Giangavino Pazzola. A successful experiment with the newborn Multipli section, dedicated to published works, curated by Lisa Andreani and Simona Squadrito, and with Path, thematic itinerary that links important works with the leitmotif of ceramics.
The 5×9 meter mega-screen that welcomed visitors to the 46th Arte Fiera Bologna with the work of Yuri Ancarani was of great impact; the book talks were very popular, with the daily program curated by Guendalina Piselli, assistant manager, which took place inside the sinuous Connecting Green Hub installation by MCA – Mario Cucinella Architects.
The attention of the press
Many – 180,000 – visits to the site (+60% on 2022 and +30% on 2020), 60,000 accesses (doubled in 2022, +10% on 2020) with peaks of over 17,000 visits per day. 1,600,000 total social coverage generated by online actions, more than double compared to the last two in-person editions.
The social channels of the 46th edition of Arte Fiera Bologna have further expanded their fan base (+20% in just 4 months), thanks to the direct involvement of the galleries, the public and the creators of artistic content. Wide coverage of Arte Fiera in the national press and some significant presences in the international media.
The main generalist and sector publications, offline and online, have dedicated insights to the event and to the special projects that have characterized its relaunch. Numerous reports of the event on all major television and radio channels. Over 600 journalists accredited themselves during the days of the fair.
